This one is on Bally Sports. Mahle starts for the Twins. All of the presumed starters that didn't start yesterday (Correa, Buxton, Vazquez, Gordon) are in the lineup for the Twins. Kikuchi starts for the Jays (a lefty). Their starting lineup doesn't have many front line players.

Correa got a scratch single surrounded by strikeouts from other players in the top of the order. Key at-bats for Garlick. It really has to be him and Castro going for the last position player spot on the team.

Mahle looking pretty good early. A lot of sliders/cutters and splitters. But they're looking good.

I think he’s usually 93-94 but either way, his velocity is real close today.

Checked FG for confirmation. Mahle averaged 94mph in 2020 and 2021, dropped to 93mph in 2022. So he’s down a touch from his peak but right around last season.

We "ran" on the beach a bit in Mexico....something about the hot weather and beach makes me want to do that. My knee was unhappy, but all inclusive alcohol and hot sun took care of that.

I know it's spring training and most pros are able to flip the "switch" when the regular season starts, but certainly not great to see Mahle getting knocked around by the AAA lineup Toronto trotted out today. Trusting he'll be ready to go on opening day.

Mahle out after 4.2 innings and 80 pitches. A pretty meh outing, I would say. He didn't throw many devastating pitches, but the velocity was okay and he got in a days work with 80 pitches,

I like he got 80 pitches and his MPH seemed pretty normal, don't like that he couldn't finish 5 with 80 pitches against that lineup, but I will take it and guessing he gets one of those last two games against Pit (which I will be at on the 27th, so hopefully that is game)
