Interesting article, and obviously one designed to create some discussion.

He's got 12 A's, 12 B's, 12 C's, 12 D's, 12 F's and two incompletes. Find out what grade he gave the 2022 Twins. Besides 1987, 1991, and 1965, which non-World Series teams got A's. And an interesting acknowledgment about the 2005 postseason vote... and much more. Fun article. Check it out and discuss here.

Where did Patrick rate the 2022 Twins? How about the 2021 Twins?  I must subscribe to read his article, and I don't want to subscribe.

D and F. He also voted for Bartolo Colon in 2005. Despicable.

I'd give this season a B. The Twins finished pretty nearly exactly where Vegas and all the pundits predicted. Despite being picked to finish third, they were in first for most of the season. Correa, Buxton and Arraez were really fun to watch, as was Duran and a lot of the new young talent.

A "B"? If I am the Twins FO I am loving this, a third place finish under .500 grades as a B and the highest payroll ever (or one of the highest) and trading away a former 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th rounders (I believe that is correct), Can't imagine what a .500 second place grade is?

I could see a C or C - if there was more development than just Ryan, Miranda, Duran and Jax to a lesser extent. For example if Ober came out and firmly placed himself in the top 4 starters, Winder established he was a for sure major league pitcher. Varland and Wallner were cute late additions but are they scream for sure major league players going forward. Or if they had established they weren't going into 23 with most of the same question marks as 22.

IMO the first half of the season was a fairly solid B to B-, they were better than expected but still showing issues and continueing to do things that everybody seen was doomed to fail. The second half was a complete F. Now if they would have stopped pitching Bundy and gave more starts to Varland and SWR or brought up Wallner earlier that could have moved up to a D.

So for the season I give them a D and I think I am being generous on that.

Not that Ruesse doesn't normally work hard, but this was a heck of a lot of effort put forth in an attempt to provoke a reaction this time. Normally he can troll pretty well with just a paragraph or two, this took him some time.

Voting for Bartolo Colon was unforgiveable. Surprized he'd admit it, if I had made such a bad mistake I'd be too ashamed.

B for 2022?

Before Correa was signed I had the Twins around 75-80 wins and pushed that to 78-86 wins. I didn't think Ryan or Duran would be as good as they performed and Miranda and Gordon had fine seasons. The way the games were managed and the lack of fundamentals was poor. D is a fair grade, all things considered.

Derrick? Derrick Falvey? Is that you?

Nice article. Fun to remember all those seasons/eras.

Also a reminder that a good number of the A and B seasons were unexpected…or at least preceded by bad seasons.

Fair enough. A "D" for me would have been if the FO didn't sign anybody and didn't even try to win-see the Athletics, Washington Nationals. Or even the teams of the mid to late 1990's would be a D, where the payroll was low, the team stunk, and no one cared.

2019 was an A. 2020 was an A-.

I would certainly grade 2021 as a D or even an F, seeing as the team finished last but was expected to contend.

Keep in mind I wasn't even alive for the Twins last world series.

Interesting that there are only a couple F's in the Calvin Griffith era, when the Twins had regularly awful attendance. But the late 90s and early 2010s were horrifying, so no argument here.
