Here’s another left turn for today’s somewhat meaningless game…. has anyone else sensed a bit of tension from time to time between Provus and Gladden?

Gladden blathering on and on basically just repeating what Corey just explained seems to once in awhile make Corey go into extended silent mode for more than usual.

Might be imagining it but……?‍♂️

Can you imagine managing like that in the Playoffs? With no eye for nuance needed?

Right up to the end, Baldelli continues to manage with his head in the clouds.  No clue, except on putting guys on the IL.

No stealing my idea; I've been saying for a while now that we're going to end up with a full staff of "3 inning/once through the order guys" that can go every 3 days.

I propose a 'rollback season' for MLB.  Not next year, but soon.  We can go with : 2 leagues, with the league winner only in world series,  No DH, no showboating without recourse by the opposition, no limited sliding rules at 2nd base or home, no instant replay, amphetamines only, etc.  You get the idea. Oh, and a rollback on ticket prices.  (I found an old stub for Met Stadium), $3.50 for a box seat.

Manfred basically destroying the AL and NL. Soon the two leagues will be a thing of the past. There wil be only MLB. No divisions needed with the equal scheduling. A shame, really. Probaly will even want to change the name to MLB - Manfred League Baseball.
