SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Not good enough. This team always has to have an automatic out in the lineup
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Well, one is better than none. I wonder what the stat is for futility with the bases loaded and no outs.....

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 I guess I shouldn't be disappointed with 1 run from bases loaded no out...but I am.
jkcarew Verified Member Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Is it possible Cleveland is still sending Leon a check once a week?
stocker08 Verified Member Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Unfortunately.....I've seen bases loaded and no outs produce zero runs. Fact is that the bottom of the lineup is whack right now. Leon is as close to an automatic out as it gets. It looks like he is constantly struggling to catch up to pitches.
SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 all Bundy has done so far is allow baserunners. It will cost him eventually.

Miranda? .....but we need guys who have been hitting more consistently getting up to the plate after our top of the lineup batters. Miranda’s already batting cleanup, so…my point would be “guys who’ve been hitting more consistently” don’t really exist on the active roster.

Don't know the league average for that situation, but I feel quite confident in believing we're waaay below league average in converting those opportunities.

As I said....and I noticed it first in the Rangers series.....Gordon had been batting sixth or seventh.....despite batting nearly .300 in August. Outside of a couple recent games....Kepler has been dreadful at the plate.

Double jeopardy/paychecks this series. He also won a ring with Boston in 2018 (.177 with a .511 OPS!) 5 years with the Red Sox, 2015-2019. Post season winner. We could use a little of that.
