Sure, but that doesn't make them a good hitting team.  They may be that particular day, but hard to argue they are on a daily basis.  Which is what a good hitting team is.

I can see this team going on another losing streak much more easily than winning streaks.  They are just not good enough.

WHY is Kepler hitting third?  Big reason why the Twins were dropping games left and right all through August was Rocco's insistence on batting him in the middle of the lineup despite his monthly average (at the end of the Rangers series) hovering around .120....with an OBP of .157.

But yeah.....third seems like a good idea.  Please get Rocco out of here at the end of the season.

he would have been trapped off third, quick throw to Leon, and a run down, looked like to me. he was already heading back to third. pump fake to home, throw to third, stranded. but we will never know.

My point here is that during the Rangers series when we hit....what.....two for twenty something with runners in scoring position....Kepler was batting fifth.  Plenty of chances with runners on.  He's had a few good games recently.....but we need guys who have been hitting more consistently getting up to the plate after our top of the lineup batters.
