NEW TRADE RUMOR FEATURE, please read and comment

This is totally spur of the moment impulse **** from me but I think it could be a really cool resource.

https://twinsdaily.com/minnesota-twins-trade-rumors/

It's currently only open to moderators, admins, and leaders to add content but that could change if the feedback is positive. Basically, it's just a collation of rumors we find around the internet and our commentary to go along with it. Instead of browsing the forums, you can hit that page at any time and see an ascending list of recent trade rumors.

The added benefit is that if you want to still use the forums, creating anything on this page adds a new forum post preceded by "Trade Rumor:". And commenting on any of the rumors posted by another user works just like adding a front page news comment or a forum post.

Is this cool? Is this something you want to use or am I bouncing off into crazytown with idle hands again?

I like the thread within a thread topical format. It reduces clicking which is nice on a phone

That was my thinking as well. It's something of a blog setup that allows you to scroll without clicking.

If it's only someone saying that player A would be good for the Twins to have, or if it's only someone proposing a hypothetical trade then I'm not interested. To me those things are not rumors. They are just idle speculation, and I don't read such threads no matter who writes them. However, I would certainly be interested in hearing about reporting based on information from sources connected to the teams involved.

That’s mostly how I envision it working. Articles and tweets from reputable sources.

This would be great, but there is significant progress to be made to get to that point. At the time I post this there are four threads. One link was to a New York Post article that made a vague offhand remark that the Twins had been linked to Montas. The New York Post is not reputable, and no confirmed source or report was cited. One link was to an mlb.com report that said the Twins needed pitching, with no specific trade possibilities mentioned. The other two links required me to disable my adblocker to see, which I won't do.

As I said before, give me solid information from sources with access to what the front office is doing and I'm interested. I would guess that no such information is available at this time.

I asked people to contribute to the system to test its functionality. Lighten up a bit, I developed this idea all of 12 hours ago and it’s already live on the site.

I'm merely providing feedback as requested. As I said before, I think this is a good idea if the rumors are properly vetted. Also, as I inferred when I said there was significant progress to be made, I realize that this is a work in progress in its early stages. I apologize if my feedback was written in such a way that it was taken as hostile.

100% awesome and useful if that's what it is. And agree with the previous poster: it's useless if it's any version of user generated speculation.

Thanks all for everything you do on this site - incredible content.
