Despite missing a couple of starts due to COVID and having a couple of short starts due to ineffectiveness, Dylan Bundy leads the Twins in innings pitched.

The mute button is your friend! Earlier in the season, we got the tremendous privilege of watching Mike Trout play catch in the outfield in slow motion for about a whole minute at a time.

Blown away by his ability to show up

For everyone comparing Arraez to Kwan...just LOL

Arraez: .344/..426/440 152 OPS+

Kwan .279/.365/.358 110 OPS+

Kwan is fine, and he is similar stylistically to Arraez, but they aren't even in the same league in far to hitting. Kwan has had an impressive 8 games or whatever it's been, but they aren't really that comparable

Except not tonight. And Kwan doesn't have an error that is the difference in scoring in this game right now, either, that would have the Twins up 3-2.

That should have been a close play. What is Celestino’s sprint speed?

I do not think he get off the plate quick, gets going pretty well once steam is up.

All righties up this inning which I guess is why thielbar was pulled but they’re 7-8-9 and he breezed through that 6th

I would have stayed with Thielbar at 11 pitches. Then Jax in the 8th. Now, Baldy is burning pitchers, and I fear we see Pagan in the 8th. That will be against the top of the line-up, too. Duran for 2 innings, if the Twins take the lead here in the 8th. Duran anyway, even without the lead?

No it will almost certainly be Duran for 8/9. Top of the order upcoming. Just better hope it doesn’t go to extras

Jax and Thielbar both pitched yesterday. To ask them to go multiple innings on the second day of a back-to-back is something that won’t happen in June.

Love Perkins talking about FIP. It's quite literally the bare minimum the booth could do to educate the audience on baseball analytics.

The more I learn, the more FIP is dumb. It is appropriate for 1 pitching style- strikeout pitchers.

Very misleading for any other style.

Great measure for Perkins.

Seems the stat charting cares about number of pitches (11 and 15) than innings.

Agree. It doesn't account for weak contact, for example. Maybe there is a version that adjusts for exit velocity?
