Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Keuchel was in the last guaranteed year of his contract, earning $18 mil this season, plus a $1.5 mil buyout on a 2023 team option.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 Somebody will give him a try at the MLB minimum. I'd be tempted to try him in Archer's spot.
DJL44 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 I am more interested in Albert Abreu, though he isn't as interesting as players the Twins have in the minors. Keuchel is going to have to move to the bullpen to sustain his career. There is always another chance for a lefthanded pitcher.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 No thanks. He had obscenely high contact rates even when he was a "good" pitcher. With the way the young starters have pitched, I'd have significantly more confidence in Woods Richardson, Canterino or even Varland than another washed up vet.
Doctor Gast Verified Member Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 Keuchel is Colume' on steroids! Twins need to avoid him like the plague

That's certainly one way to avoid anyone claiming him on waivers.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 I actively cheered on the White Sox signing him because exactly what happened seemed inevitable.
