The MLB Rule 5 draft has been postponed due to the lockdown.

However, today the minor league Rule 5 draft took place this afternoon.

The Twins had a full 38-man Triple-A roster, so they did not make a pick.

The organization lost OF Gabriel Maciel to the A's.

I was surprised they had it so soon, like Ace I thought it'd be after the lock out. Too bad I don't know if Brazilian  Macial would amount to anything but I liked him. The "A"s could probably use him. Wish him well

Interesting, thanks Seth.

I have read conflicting comments about the lockout.  Do you know if the Fort Myers complex is open and available to minor league players?

You could say that about any minor league player, couldn't you?

Forgive my memory, but wasn't Maciel the OF we got in the Escobar trade a couple of years ago?

Yes, it was Duran, Maciel and De La Trinidad for Escobar.

Players can be at the Ft. Myers complex working out or rehabbing as long as they aren't on the 40-man roster.

Do you have a list of players on 38-man Triple-A roster for Twins?

He and Duensing could have got the team Basset and Montez. That is with 3 of the top 10 prospects

My Gabriel Maciel moment.   He was solid in low A in Cedar Rapids and I follwed him, and we went down to Cedar Rapids for their Snoopy Jersey Day auction (I'm a big Peanuts fan too.)    I chose to bid on Maciel's jersey because we have the same birthday, and I couldn't really decide on any other player.  It still has the infield dirt on it when he dove back into firsbase on a pick-off attempt.

No, it's not a public document type of thing.

However, the Triple-A is kind of one year ahead of the MLB roster. Example:

Louie Varland will need to be added to the #MNTwins 40-man roster after the 2022 season. Varland would have to be on the Triple-A roster after the 2021, or he could have been selected in this draft. So, with that, we could likely guess who is on it, though wouldn't be able to confirm.
