Not suggesting a long-term delay, especially for someone ready/well-regarded like Cano. Wouldn't be surprised to see them soon, but some dust will settle on the 40-man by August 1st too.

Mostly responding to those wondering why we're not throwing different darts than Law right now.

I'm starting to look forward to the Twins making some trades. Hopefully at that point they will stop cycling through their pile of scrap heap relievers and start giving prospects a chance.

I'm not speaking specifically about Cano and I agree the Twins should consider adding him soon, I was only pointing out that haphazardly calling for additions to the 40-man usually isn't very well thought-out.

I hope to see him relatively soon but given the season, I'm not sure it matters much whether that's today or three weeks from now.

Also, Hamilton has some wild walk numbers for the season (18 in 20.2 IP), and Vasquez has 4 HBP in those recent innings too.

The FO knows this is a lost season, too. It's no longer about best pitcher available. Now it's about MLB veterans' last look before moving on to prospects. For relievers, there's plenty of time to see all of them before October

52 runs in 53 innings. No other MLB team would have hung onto him as long as the Twins did. Front office is starting to seem no different than Terry Ryan
