Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 This here is likely our final chance to get this game back. 0 for 6 in RISP so far, of course... just gotta pray for a White Sox error at this point.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Just forfeit the rest of the year. This is an abomination

It's a little more awful if you're the manager and about to sink to 12-23 in the last year of your contract.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 You just have to laugh at this point. Larnach was FROZEN in time from that slider.

Maybe the Twins should try that. No way can the outcome be any worse, than it is now. We had a guy who could do that and we traded him away

RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 When I was in high school, when we lost a game on the road, we had to push the bus the last 1/2 mile. The school bus lot was behind the school and up on a hill. Maybe the Twins should push their plane on the tarmac to the arrival gate.

I'm no fan of Rocco, and I would like to see him gone for someone with some more fire, but I would honestly be very surprised if Rocco is not the manager in 2022. The only scenario I can see someone else as the skipper is if Falvey and Levine are both gone; otherwise, I think it's much more likely they hire a bench coach with previous manager experience to be Rocco's right hand.

Twins have already agreed to finish the season as part of an experimental Hard Knocks/Survivor hybrid where players vote each other off Major League Island every week...
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 I am beginning to suspect this team isn't as good as I thought it would be.....

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 This Hamilton at bat might be longer than the Hamilton musical.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to jump to premature conclusions....... I would wait a little longer.... maybe til the top of the 9th?
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Baldelli tells Garver he's buying, after 1-2-3 inning.
wavedog Verified Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Good News is we are under our 3 run cap - so we can still hit the cap, tie the game and lose in extra innings. We haven't lost an extra inning game in a while - we need to mix it up a bit.

It wasn't a 'Fire Rocco!' comment... just noting that while the Sox insurance run is a simple and almost inevitable run expectancy table outcome for fans, it's probably a little harder to stomach for a manager who's a couple of innings plus one more loss away from a .333 winning percentage in the middle of May.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Hey y’all... The Tigers have more wins than the Twins now.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 The Twins look kinda down, like whipped puppies. But, they're spitting, nicely.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Giving Props to the new site ?, Nice job, i have given up trying to listen to Smalley, when the twins were at least competitive i stayed with Roy, Now after 2-3 innings of each game in this series, ive been switching over to the Sox team with Steve Stone and gotta say they are pretty Darn good, , and after watching Larnach against the Lefty, tells me Sano is ??? is he done ?
