Maybe they are watching the White Sox and Oaklands scores, seeing if the Sox are sure to lose and Oakland can win, and being in opportune position to perhaps tank this game at the right time, if needed, to get the third seed and play Houston in the first round......

Naaaaa, couldn't be.

Like Houston couldn’t beat the Twins, I could easily see that lame strategy backfire

Absolutely disgusted watching the final two minutes of that Vikings game. Total comedy

yeah their level of suckness this year is pretty high

I think the Reds are saying that it's not a balk since Gray stepped off before throwing. That may mean it's not a pitch but rather a throw. I don't know the rule.

4:50 update:

Yankees are trailing 3-0, but Baltimore has taken the lead back from Toronto, so we’re back to:

No. 8 Toronto at No. 1 Tampa Bay

No. 7 Cleveland at No. 2 Minnesota

No. 6 Houston at No. 3 Oakland

No. 5 New York at No. 4 Chicago

I think you’re right, I believe the umps were checking to see if it is reviewable, and I’m guessing it’s not so the balk call stands. The ump blew it though

I wonder if one of the base umpires called it.

Marwin called it and the home plate ump agreed, glad it was for the Twins but that ump did a terrible job on that

Diggs is having a good season with the unbeaten Bills. Vikings are stuck with Cousins. At least Twins are going to win the division.

I was just going to post this.

YES! I remember that.

This play made Eddie one of my favorites. He timed his bluff exactly perfectly, with the pitcher engaging the rubber but unsettled before working into his stretch. All he needed was to induce a little tiny flinch and he got it.
