Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 We deserve every bit of this
dex8425 Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Wasted another Maeda start.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 And there you go. GIve up a hit to Jerrod ******* Dyson, can't get easy DP, can't stop a SB, can't throw out Jose Abrea on a ground ball, that maybe Donaldson gets to if he's still in the game.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Flipping inexplicable 4 pitch walk
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Yup. That's a bullpen to rely on in the playoffs......
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Could we try any harder to make it easier for them to score, wonder if Josh could of had that grounder ???
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Well Buxton is going to have at least 1 more plate appearance. So there's a chance.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Maeda "deGrom'ed" by his bullpen again.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Twins are playing an ugly game. Something about this game is very unsettling. Playing terrible baseball. They deserve to lose this one. Sox big hitter comes thru. Our big hitters are striking out and hitting weak pop ups. Bullpen doesn't get it done. 'D' not getting it done. Our 3rd baseman gets tossed unnecessarily. Just not with the program at all. Yech...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Did romo beat his chest this time
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Chicago scored two without a homer. I think that seals it. Hello Yankees, at the rate NY is playing, probably at Yankee Stadium.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 No matter the outcome, this has been a pretty bad showing by the Twins this series.
dex8425 Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Maeda "deGrom'ed" by his bullpen again.I'm hoping Rocco would leave Maeda in another inning or two in a playoff game. But I doubt it, since this basically is a playoff game. Give me another inning of Maeda over Matt I was a waiver claim before the start of the season Wisler.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Power hungry umpires change the game.
bighat Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Don't know how either Clippard or Romo have a job with a contender next year - or with anyone, frankly. They're old men throwing 80 MPH meatballs, and only getting paid based on what they did 5 years ago. They are possibly the most hittable relievers in baseball right now and shouldn't be options for a team of this caliber.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Power hungry umpires change the game.Haha cmon now that’s silly
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Power hungry umpires change the game. Just stop. Ignoring the fact Donaldson is 100 percent responsible for not being in this game, the 7th inning changed the game and had NOTHING to do with the umpires.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Chicago scored two without a homer. I think that seals it. Hello Yankees, at the rate NY is playing, probably at Yankee Stadium. It was never going to go any other way
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Yup. That's a bullpen to rely on in the playoffs......you can’t rely on 4 innings of bullpen every game, it won’t work, it’s never worked, maybe a game here or there but not every fricken day
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Thank god josh showed the umpire who’s boss so we get to see a predictable Adrianza at bat
bighat Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 All in all, I think the ejection is on Donaldson, not the ump. Exactly. The ump can't NOT eject Donaldson there.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Looks like its gonna be the Yankees again, if we lose this game, Hope we do get them,
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Looks like its gonna be the Yankees again, if we lose this game, Hope we do get them, masochist
bighat Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Looks like its gonna be the Yankees again, if we lose this game, Hope we do get them, Almost certainly. We'll be 3 games out with just 8 games to go, almost impossible to win the division. This was a statement series by the Sox much like when the Twins went into Cleveland late last year.

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 It happens all the time in the NBA and NHL. There are certain things you can say and actions that you can take that most players and umpires agree are within the bounds of "normal" protest. In baseball, that very much does not include intentionally kicking dirt on the plate. That is one of those things that is guaranteed to get you booted. He could have chirped him a little on his way by, gotten his point across, and not shown up the ump. He was trying to get booted there, and it was selfish and childish. In the NHL, no that’s not true
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Almost certainly. We'll be 3 games out with just 8 games to go, almost impossible to win the division. This was a statement series by the Sox much like when the Twins went into Cleveland late last year.it's actually 3.5 games, since the Twins lose the division if they end up tied with the Sox.
wavedog Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Cruz took advantage of the Ump missing Strike 3
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 In the NHL, no that’s not trueNO, he's right, you get kicked out for kicking dirt on the plate in the NHL, too.
