Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Kansas City’s pitcher definitely gets asked for his ID to enter an 18+ nightclub.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 We play the Royals for 3 MORE games next weekend? WTF kind of scheduling is that MLBWell, it was SUPPOSED to be a really easy schedule. Or so we were led to believe

MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 If there's another week of this anemic offense I think the Twins should start looking at replacement hitting coaches
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I don't think Buxton has hit a fair ball to the right of second base all year.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Did they change the ball for this season? I know they talked about that last year
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 So clever, calling the taxi squad ‘Uber squad’ with Dobnak on the mound, Dick... how’d you come up with that?

stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 More than most, Dobnak is very tough when he's ahead on the count, but he can't afford to be throwing his stuff when he's behind in the count. The 3-1 pitch to Gordon was a great example. If memory serves, that was the case versus the Yanks in the playoff game.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Kepler--when he was promoted, I expected him to develop into a consistent .300 hitter with 15-25 homer power. The BA hasn't developed like that, but he's got more power and he gets his share of walks. It is frustrating to see him go through long stretches where he makes so many outs.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Mrs Chief and I will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary this winter. It's been a good run, but Mrs Chief has been feeling, neglected. So neglected, I reluctantly agreed to go with her to a marriage therapist. We sat down at our first appointment, and after a period of introductions and a little uneasiness, Mrs Chief suddenly let loose. "No communication, lack of passion, lack of intimacy, blah blah blah." She went on for a good 15 minutes. When she finally paused for breath, the therapist got up from behind his desk, walked over to Mrs Chief, took her by both hands and raised her to her feet, and kissed her long and hard, right on the mouth. He then looked at me, and told me, "This is what your wife needs, sir. At least five days a week. Do you think you can make that happen?" "Well," I replied, "I dunno. I mean, I can drop her off here Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I play golf Monday and Wednesdays, and Friday mornings I bowl."

Trying to keep it under 240 but she's spiking on me. Ribs might get done early tonight. Guess I'll start drinking beer early too.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Two high-tights to Cruz and then Nelson sends one right back at him. I'm sure it is coincidental.

To be on the safe side, I start drinking beer prior to starting the smoker, and keep it up until after the last morsel is consumed. I've had pretty good luck with that method.

Ribs might get done early tonight. Guess I'll start drinking beer early too. I've never used a smoker (since I don't eat meat) but that temp is a little different than what we're used to. We installed a new wood-fired pizza oven as of last summer: it cooks best when the interior roof temp is ~1150.

twinssporto Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Author Posted August 16, 2020 61 pitches thru 5 innings for Randy. Nice! Odorizzi would be at 85+
Diesel Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Offense needs to give Dobby some runs. Hope Rocco lets him got to 90-100 pitches if he keeps on cruising
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 The way Dobnak is pitching, he should be able to go 7 or 8 (I probably just jinxed him!). I wonder if Rocco will trust him to go deeper. It is getting to the point where he should.
