Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 There is Berrios night. Labored too often and made a mistake on an 0-2 pitch to one of the few guys on the opposing lineup you can't afford to. Looked better than he did in Chicago, but still a bit to go. Bullpen is going to have to stay hot to keep us in this one. Would think someone may give us 2 innings of work.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Two runs in five innings. I'll take that. He wins 9 out of ten with this lineup when he pitches like this.
bighat Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Sure Berrios threw a lot of pitches, but I don't think anyone can say this outing was a disaster or a dud. Certainly looked better than last time and I for one am encouraged.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Sucks that Sano and Buxton now have a track record of starting slow. Sano looks lost just like early last season. Get him in the shop for a tune up.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Not getting much yet from Sanó, Donaldson or Garver. I hope they all get it going soon.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 Not getting much yet from Sanó, Donaldson or Garver. I hope they all get it going soon.Buxton and Sano are understandable at least. Neither have had a ton of PT to ramp up. Garver has had just as long as everyone else. I expected some negative regression from him, but I hope (and think) he is better than this
Darius Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 A couple of really bad calls have given Beiber two Ks, that I’ve seen. 3rd strike inside to Garver wasn’t even really close, and the check swing on Buxton that wasn’t appealed for some reason. Bieber has looked phenomenal. But, it sure makes it damn easy when you’re given every borderline call on a platter.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 First time Sano has looked lost at 1st base...and yikes
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I'm ready to end the Sano experiment. See what we can get for him.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 This ump is guessing on all 4 edges of the zone
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 This umpire blows. Littell’s last 3 appearances. Yikes.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 The error ends up being meaningless as the bases are walked loaded anyway.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 That was strike one, but it wasn’t strike three?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 HUGE play there by Littell to not panic. Come on bats!!!
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Nice double play. Good job LIttel.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Hahaha wow Houdini type stuff as he one hops it to home
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I'm sure Littell did not drop that on purpose but it turned out better that he did.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 Sano finally makes contact and does that :/
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 Gotta run Buxton here, I think
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Alright, Byron! Let's make something of this.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I kinda like the feeling of importance that such a short season brings, but I’m not sure Baseball is the right sport for that.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Need some rain, right about now.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 Donaldson has looked clueless against breaking balls all season
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Donaldson has looked clueless against breaking balls all seasonSeems to be pressing although he’s always been a high energy guy
