Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 Very heads up play right there from Arraez letting that ball drop right before the bag to turn 2
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Arraez has looked good in the field so far. Very smooth.
blindeke Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 This is exactly what we saw last season when he was working on tweaking his swing. His bat looked like Swiss cheese for a couple of weeks, but once it clicked, he was all-world... Hoping for more of the same this season. Oh yeah thanks for reminding me of that. Yikes. I remember it now...
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Sano’s timing simply isn’t there yet.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Sano = Buxton = useless with a bat. Time to move on.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 Sano’s timing simply isn’t there yet.Normally something you can allow guys to play through (and I think it still is the case right now), but we are 10% done with the season tonight.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 Sano = Buxton = useless with a bat. Time to move on.Buxton is one of the few Twins with a hit tonight, and hit the ball hard his first at bat foul. I understand this is a frustrating game, but baseball isn't a sport where hot takes are usually accurate.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Bieber's performance tonight is one of the best I can remember seeing in quite some time. The stuff, command, pitch mix, all of it is just on point.
Sielk Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Buxton was actually one of the better Twins tonight. At least he got a hit.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Normally something you can allow guys to play through (and I think it still is the case right now), but we are 10% done with the season tonight. But with 16 teams making the playoffs, the urgency’s a little lower. There’s eight other guys to hit.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Sano’s timing simply isn’t there yet.It would be nice if he could recognize a pitch once in a while
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 CLE dugout certainly acting like Bieber is done, which is the best news all night.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 Thorpe forgot we were in a shift....
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 What in God’s name happened there?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Sanó is going to take time to adjust to first, that’s for sure.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 What in God’s name happened there?Curly, Moe and Larry
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Assuming Sano could get to the bag on time, why didn't Arraez wait for him to get set?
Darius Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Normally something you can allow guys to play through (and I think it still is the case right now), but we are 10% done with the season tonight.I’m more concerned with Garver and Donaldson. They’re in prominent places in the order and providing nothing. We’ve seen this from Sano. He’ll eventually get going. I don’t think Buxton has looked terrible at the plate. Not ideal, but it can be tolerated longer at the bottom of the lineup.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 Assuming Sano could get to the bag on time, why didn't Arraez wait for him to get set?because he wasn't on the bag in time
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Let’s get three and call it a day
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 That was promising from Thorpe in relief, and the good news is we have gotten 4 scoreless innings from 2 of the 3 bottom guys in our bullpen, and are only down 2 going into the 9th. More good news is Bieber is out of the game, and the guy coming in has control problems. The bad news is we are down 2 and the guy coming in has the highest MiLB K numbers ever....Go Twins

blindeke Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Hey Random Question: What is with the Target logo on the mound? Is this something that has ever been done in MLB before? Seems like a troubling slipper slope into NASCAR territory.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Full disclosure, I have Kepler, Donaldson, Polanco, Garver, Sano and Garver on my fantasy team. I also have Maeda, Hill and May. Thinking about picking up Homer Bailey. I have problems.
