I would take a chance on him.  For some reason, things have just gone south on him the last couple years in Atlanta.  Maybe a change of scenery would benefit him.

He had a great resurgence last year in the 2nd half when he was called back up. Guy started 2 games in the NLDS last October, just 28 years old.

What do the Braves know that we don't?

I'm definitely put in a waiver claim on this guy, but I have to imagine several other teams will too, including the Marlins, so I doubt the Twins could get him outside of a trade.

Braves seem a bit like the new Pittsburgh (pitching reclamation projects). I'm suspicious if they let him go. But there's also very little to lose with this year's roster setup.

Well, except that you can't let your reclamation projects rebuild confidence or refine mechanics in AAA every day. I guess that could be pretty big.

The whole not hitting 90 on his fastball that last year was sitting mid 90's seems pretty alarming. Maybe he was one of the guys who didn't throw during the lockdown and is now just not in game shape. But the Braves don't have time to wait around for him to get in shape, and neither do the Twins. He will get claimed by a bad team.
