FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 I've got a bunch of people coming over for dinner tonight. Firing up the grill soon. Was going to wait to start drinking but with a 4 run lead I might start early. Please don't judge me. Can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning... or I guess in your case today, early afternoon. Got some chuck roast burnt ends in the smoker and bacon wrapped jalapeno chicken bombs on the Weber. What are you making?

bighat Verified Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Poor Alex Avila - the only Twin not to bat in the 1st inning, now he's got to face a lefty which is something he almost never does. Interestingly, he faced a lefty in the Twins warm-up game against the Cubs and Morneau was talking about how ridiculous it was because Avila would never face a lefty this season.

It's hot outside so I might pour a small vodka tonic too.

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Mr Morneau, you need to realize we are also Pretty good at watching a game , When they pitched around Eddie , which was obvious trying to get him to chase, Justin goes on a 2 minute rant about it, needs to learn how to condense what your saying, and adjust on the fly, More than willing to give him a chance cause he does know the game, Little excitement might help also,, think he is trying to hard, Go Twins
Matthew Lenz Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Firing up the Big Green Egg and smoking a prime rib roast. It's hot outside so I might pour a small vodka tonic too. That sounds better than homemade grilled pizza on Naan bread. Wanna trade?

Matthew Lenz Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Nice job Kenta! Was a little worried about the middle-middle ground all he threw to Abreu. I bet Abreu would like that pitch back!
thuuuuney Provisional Member Posted July 26, 2020 Author Posted July 26, 2020 Nice intro. You did in fact write a wrong!Eager to see the Maeda debut. Hope he makes us forget about that Brusdar what’s-his-name.And mrtwinsfan, I read that the plan was to put Buxton on the 30-man with no intentention PF him playing in Chicago, but every intention of him starting the next home series.Happy you enjoyed the write-up and I'm happy we're enjoying a great game! 1,2,3 from Kenta looks good early

operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Way to take one for the team Avila!
Matthew Lenz Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 I'd be OK with Avila facing a lefty because the Twins had knocked out the starter prior to his first AB every time he starts. And he gets on base 100% of the time in 2020

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Alex Avila has been on base at least once in every game in his Twins career!
twinssporto Verified Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Take it off just before it hits medium rare. EDIT: Also, just before you hit "too drunk to bring it inside."125 degree or a BAC. 1.5

blindeke Verified Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Morneau is so great in the booth, and I love that he can talk about facing the actual players on the field.

Matthew Lenz Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 What toppings are you putting on that bad boy?I got Italian sausage, green olives, and jalapeños. Wife goes the Hawaiin route with pineapple and bacon.
