I don't understand why Marwin Gonzalez is hitting before Kepler and Sano. I don't understand why Cave is sitting. Arraez or Schoop should take a seat instead.

Unfortunately he's up there hacking at garbage. Really hope he wakes up soon, or it has to be Adrianza at 1st base. Sad to see Schoop in the lineup today also, Rocco doesn't feel this is a must-win, apparently.

Lefty on the mound is why Cave is on the bench. Also explains Arraez hitting 8th.

Cave is hot and Arraez is not. Cave should be playing outfield instead of Arraez.

I think the scouting report is out on Twins hitters. They can't hit breaking balls. Any pitcher that has confidence in their curveball and is willing to throw a steady dose of them has a high chance of having success against our lineup.

Schoop hits .890 OPS this season against lefties, and since he's on the roster, Baldelli might as well put him in the lineup then, or else he's just wasting a roster spot.

 

Cron looks out of sorts, he just hasn't been able to heal that thumb methinks. It's been night and day between the player he was in the first half of the season and the second.

Shouldn't all the Tigers have nicknames of their names plus "zee" on their backs? Or did Gardy give that up when he left the Twins? :)
