MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Sano doesn't deserve an error for that
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Lol, ugh ... auto correct ... Have I ever asked you about your avatar? There's an inside story to using that painting that I won't share here.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 I'd leave him in up to Odor, at least.Odor is actually better vs LHP this year.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Odor and Odorizzi gotta be next to each other alphabetically in the ol’ Baseball Almanac, no??? John O'Donoghue, Odor, Odorizzi, Lefty O'Doul
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 he’s their best reliever. He shouldn’t be confined to an inning or situation Look baseball for the last 50 years have had a definite closer. I feel you need to have that defined role in the bullpen. Rogers lacks guts. He's a pretty good pitcher, but he lacks the ompfh that I want in the guy who shuts the door a la Nathan.
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 He doesn't deserve an error but it was a big missed opportunity. If they give up a run here you can point to that play
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Odor is actually better vs LHP this year. Didn't look it there.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Whew, just got out of there. I'd use Romo in the 9th now.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Not exactly pretty but I'll take it all day long.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 ... never had a chance. #pitching#taylorrogers

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 I was joking, too. Chill pills for everybody!NO YOU CHILL FIRST MAN
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 John O'Donoghue, Odor, Odorizzi, Lefty O'DoulSpaces? Hmmmmm......
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 I’m going to have a big issue if Romo doesn’t start the 9th (barring a bunch of runs here of course). If Romo can’t get the bottom 3 of the Texas lineup, what did the Twins get him for?
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 It's the 101 MPH cutter guy!!!
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Whew, just got out of there. I'd use Romo in the 9th now. With 3 right handers coming up? Yeah I think Romo should get the 9th too
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Dude is going to be a stud if he keeps improving.I don't think there's much room for anything but offensive regression in Garver. But that doesn't mean he can't be an extremely good player going forward. He simply won't be historically good, like Mike Piazza's bat with Joe Mauer's glove. That's basically the best catcher in baseball history, which is asking way too much of Mitch.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Sequence of pitches, that last at bat * chef’s kiss*
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Nice of Dick and Roy to do their research and know nothing about this kid that all of baseball has been buzzing about past few weeks.

I don't think .265/.330/.460 is out of the question which would make him a really solid catcher.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 "These guys aren't as bad at hitting as my generation was so the guns must be different" -Roy Smalley, basically

Nathan is one of the best relievers in Twins history. I wouldn’t compare Rogers to Nathan. Rogers doesn’t have enough history. Rogers has more multi inning saves this year than Nathan had for his entire career. He’s got plenty of grit
