Dakota15 Provisional Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Have we had a lead since Monday...?
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 A couple of unrelated, Twins-related questions for you all: 1: Is a strong outing by Smeltzer tonight enough to propel him past Pérez in the rotation? 2: Are you surprised about the Twins and/or Royals not being a part of the Field of Dreams game next season? 1. I'd think so but I'm dubious as to how Rocco handles his pitching decisions so I'm not confident he'd share my sentiments. 2. The Yankees have to play in that game because it's the national appeal of it. I'm guessing that since KC gives up a home game to play in Omaha the week before the College World Series, they wouldn't have been interested in giving up another home game for a neutral site and maybe Chicago has a more regional appeal than the Twins do.

bighat Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Board's pretty dead tonight, guess it's the weekend and that's normal. Stopping in to say hello and Go Twins.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Tough to waste those opportunities against Bieber
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Does anyone in mlb swing more than Rosario? I know no one on the Twins does.
wavedog Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Unbelievable slow dp grounder and it finds a hole where no one is
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Lots of baseball left, but it looks like the Twins are out of gas
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Unbelievable slow dp grounder and it finds a hole where no one isWithout actually seeing it, I would guess there was a shift on and Smeltzer missed his spot to optimize said shift. That’ll happen with young guys.

That’ll happen with young guys. It was a double play GB without the shift. Been seeing too many of those lately IMO.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Well I'm just gonna mentally prepare for the reality that the Indians may very well be leading the division at the end of this series
Whammy Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Smeltzer deserved so much better this inning. Cron messed up what should’ve been out #1, then 3 singles with an exit velocity of less than 60mph probably.
tvagle Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Flipped to watch the Twins...Cave up...TV says "We're sorry, there are too many people watching in this game...please return in one pitch" Ugh-Lee
obtusebanter Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Does anyone in mlb swing more than Rosario?I know no one on the Twins does. Schoop does! #2 and #3 in the league.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 The wheels on the bus are falling off, falling off, falling off.
wavedog Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Yes, could be he missed the spot - Next batter Puig did the same but to the opposite side. Big hole to shoot for. Looks like it is a rule that we have to get down by 5 or 6 runs. I am going to see what else is on.
Krabby5 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Is Dyson gonna pitch tonight? Lol.

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 On the plus said, we will probably get to see what Dubnak can do.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Time to catch up on Lucifer.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Duffey made sure all inherited runners would score.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Great effort from Cave on that throw home!!!!!!
obtusebanter Verified Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Smeltzer made his own mess, IMO. Cron undercutting Smeltzer on that leadoff bunt when he should have retreated back to the bag would have changed the whole makeup of the half inning.
