Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 What is surprising is that garbage pile of dung Cleveland offense has been hitting. Weirdorama. If they are hitting... maybe it shows that garbage pile of dung offenses can do that?

tvagle Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Evan Marshall enters the game... Maybe a grandson of the infamous Dr./Twins Mike Marshall I love that movie about him "Forgetting Evan Marshall"
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 For the record, we hit like crap last night too. So it's not too terribly surprising what we are seeing tonight..278/.333/.513 (.846)That was our collective batting line last night. I want to know in what league that is crap hitting?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Evan Marshall enters the game... Maybe a grandson of the infamous Dr./Twins Mike Marshall I was thinking Penny Marshall but you could be right.

I want to know in what league that is crap hitting? In the league where almost all of the runs for the night are scored in one inning. Frankly, last night's game was hard to watch after the 2nd inning.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 officially hitting panic button!!! At least someone associated with the Twins is hitting.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 It'd be nice to get a game where pitching, hitting, and defense are all clicking the same game. Always seems to be one or 2 of the three missing
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Get Romo up in the pen!
Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Throws a rookie into a close 2 run game in a very important game. What could go wrong, right guys?

HawksNest Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 11.5 to 1 game lead. But don't worry, we played the yankees tough!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Throws a rookie into a close 2 run game in a very important game. What could go wrong, right guys? He used to throw vets into those situations. So, It's different.
Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 11.5 to 1 game lead. But don't worry, we played the yankees tough! We haven't played terribly. But when you're competing against a team that is on a HISTORIC RUN like Cleveland, what can you do? What Cleveland is doing, is insane. Even if Cleveland had only played Detroit for 40 STRAIGHT GAMES, they should not be playing at that clip.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 11.5 to 1 game lead. But don't worry, we played the yankees tough!no help from the FO. Obviously needed pitching help and nothing was done about it
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Romo? That's who the front office gets? What a joke.
Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 The great myth of this year is that the Twins have been playing poorly since early June. That's not really the case. I don't think I have ever seen a team do what Cleveland has done in these last two months. It's Cleveland, not the Twins.
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Romo? That's who the front office gets? What a joke.Who said we're done with the trades?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 What could go wrong, right guys? What could go right—wrong guys?
Bomba2026 Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 One game?....Cleveland is us as we were in May. I miss you Devin.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Well historically the front office is bad with trades by the deadline. So my guess is that this is it.What history? This is the first deadline that the FO has had a clear contender.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 And we gave up Lewin Diaz? I have no hope for this FO.
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Well historically the front office is bad with trades by the deadline. So my guess is that this is it.I don't disagree with that point. However, this is a different front office, so I'm personally going to refrain from any kind of grade until the deadline has passed.
obtusebanter Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Chris Vallimont has got top notch heat. Picking up Romo and getting back a prospect who don't gotta go on the 40-man at year end for Lewin Diaz seems like a pretty shrewd move.Obviously the pitching staff still needs some more arms though...
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 And we gave up Lewin Diaz? I have no hope for this FO.We got back a pitching prospect that's arguably a wash with Diaz.
