I hate the net out there all the way to the fair pole. No more exciting catches leaning into the stands. That sucks. It is up to the fans to pay attention to the game.

Moncada seems about as smart as Sano.

we live in a world where no one is responsible for themselves . Lawyers will extract money from teams that do not protect their fans from foul balls.

I'm not saying you need netting all the way to the foul pole, but a child (0-whatever age you feel they can be responsible for being drilled) cannot be responsible for not getting hit by a ball screaming at them 80-115 mph.

well that’s what parents are for , but what do I know

Does that hit by Marwin count as shift failed?

In the standard defense, the first baseman would have been right where the ball went through.

My Mom was awesome at snagging 100 MPH liners with her bare hands.  :)

Actually it’s the exact opposite. Teams are not liable at all. But carry on.

It says so... in small print on the back of the ticket.

Natural Selection?

I always think it is such a waste to have a kid that really could care less about the baseball game taking up great seats. Spoiled rich kids. Just jealous, I guess.

I anticipated this response. When I was about 10, we were lighting off fireworks in our back yard. One was almost a dud and lit some dry grass on fire. I immediately tried to run and get water. My mother grabbed both my shoulders and screamed, "OH MY GOD!" as I tried to tear away from her. She eventually ran over my 13 year old brother in the house who came out and stomped it out in flip-flops, then continued playing StarCraft. If my mother had taken me to a game when I was, say, 8 years old and a ball came screaming at my face, she would have been physically and mentally unequipped to do anything to stop it, and even if it was her /responsibility/, I would have still eaten one to the temple.

So I tune it to find out Dish no longer is showing Fox Sports North. And radios don't work up here on the north shore.

You can get Duluth 610 radio streaming online, at least.
