LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Do you think the Yanks will bring THEIR Umps with them in October? HmmmmmmIts hard to blame umpires in games when your pitching staff gives up ten runs or more
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Gonna need a nice outing from Berrios, and I think we get it. Will be interesting to see what we get going against Lucas.
S. Verified Member Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Why do they keep trying to convince us that the last few games were good baseball?

S. Verified Member Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 I have the Sox broadcast on.You weren't missing much. Dick and Roy were going off all yesterday about how great of baseball the 10 inning loss was. And I turn on the game today and first thing Dick and LaTroy are talking about is how good the Yankees series was. I enjoy hitting as much as the next guy but I sure wouldn't call either of those games good baseball.

Blake Verified Member Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 See, Cruz just proved the White Sox have trouble catching the ball. Whaddya mean the ball was over the fence? And your point?

Dantes929 Verified Member Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Its hard to blame umpires in games when your pitching staff gives up ten runs or moreNot hard for me. its all part of the game but to say it doesn't have an impact or that it all evens out is just silly. They gave up more than 10 runs also. I guess if the score was 1-0 you could say its hard to blame the umpire when your offense can't even score a run. Fact is whether it is 0-0 or 15-15 an umpire's call shouldn't be the difference maker. Not saying for sure the Yankees woudln't have come back anyway but the Twins should have been out of that 8th inning with the lead. The pitch before the walk was borderline and no complaints. The pitch that walked him was not borderline and was a difference maker. It is what it is. Guy blew a call and it is not overturnable. When we get those calls I recognize it for the gift that it is.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Fantastic, efficient first inning from Berrios
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Feels like the best inning from a twins pitcher in a long time
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Berrios is looking good so far.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 We've had a couple of pretty good 1st innings lately where #2 was a disaster. I'm not ready to be confident yet.
