Game Thread: Twins vs Mets, 7/16/19, 7:10 PM CT

soory, that was strike 3.

[diehardtwinsfan]

guess that works.

[Aggies7]

Sigh

[John Kelsey]

Sano couldn't dive for that?

[IndyTwinsFan]

Tie the game up and immediately give it up. Could see that coming a mile away. Double AARGH!

[Aggies7]

The team hasn’t looked consistently above average in what seems like forever

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Bending over... is a good skill for an infielder to have.

In fairness, our last 3B from 2013-2016 didn’t really have it either.

[HawksNest]

Marwin or Adrianza make that play

[diehardtwinsfan]

Sano couldn't dive for that?

even if he does and knocks it down, he doesn't make a play on the runner.

[luckylager]

Sano couldn't dive for that?

Maybe he's trying to avoid Buxton-like criticism for trying too hard.

Agree completely.

based on that logic, what team has? The Dodgers maybe?

[diehardtwinsfan]

2 on no outs... let's get some runs.

[Brock Beauchamp]

This is a friendly reminder that the Mets are not good at baseball.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Cruz missile time

... or, when it’s his turn to bat, then Cruz missile time

botched double steal... that's what they're calling it.

it clearly was. There's no chance Schoop was running on his own.

What was interesting to me was the Mets catcher was up and out of his stance so early, it was almost like a pitch out, like they guessed it or had the Twins signs...

[Aggies7]

It’s not just about W’s and L’s. So much sloppiness.

[diehardtwinsfan]

Dare i point to this use case of why you bunt?

[Aggies7]

Omg

[Nine of twelve]

Cripes. That's baseball.

[Brock Beauchamp]

Christ almighty, the entire Twins roster must have walked under a ladder before tonight's game.

[diehardtwinsfan]

well, you seem to only show up when they're sloppy... perhaps its bad luck...

[John Kelsey]

This game has been infuriating.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Marwin missle

Intercepted by the first baseman

He did try to square on that first pitch

I’m here almost every night for a few posts at least. Next

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

If a relief pitcher ever had less than zero, it was that guy

[diehardtwinsfan]

He did try to square on that first pitch

yeah, was kind of my point

[USAFChief]

So far the difference in this game is Pineda's free bases allowed.

Sure has been
