NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 They made the right call. I guess the Twins will take an out anyway they can get one.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Umpires have a difficult job, obviously.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Been watching baseball since 1956 and thats the 1st time ive ever seen that- Garver knew it right away
Blake Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 What happened to the Angel Hernandez we'd grown to hate? Anyway I can understand the rule, otherwise, what's to prevent a player from kicking the ball up the line?
gil4 Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Wow, what’s the rule for this?I'm pretty sure they got it right. I was expecting them to butcher it and waas already drawing the P in the air for Rocco to play it under protest.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Twins bullpen with 41 walks in 72 innings so far this season. That's not a recipe for success.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 This Ryan Pressly guy is pretty good. I wish the Twins could get a reliever like him on their team somehow.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Imagine how much better our bullpen would look if we still had Press in it. and I am a HUGE fan of Alcala.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 They are using Ryan Pressly against us...
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Is Scoop on a 1 year. keep picturing Polanco at 2b -Royce Lewis at s.s.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 What i miss?Rosario going deep in the first inning and that lead holding up until the 5th or so.
snap4birds Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 I just read an article in which Angel Hernandez claims that he makes four missed calls per game. The article said in fact he makes five times that many. Tonight surely the number is much higher. A travesty.Maybe Angel was talking about when he's umping one of the bases
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Duffey wasn't able to get major league hitters out any of the past years he was up, not sure what the FO thought changed. Dude is not a major league pitcher. Have to think he may be getting sent down after this game, which is the only reason he is still in.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 And now what in the world was that Kids, that’s what happens when the catcher thinks a curve is coming, but the pitcher throws his heater
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Duffey all sorts of messed up. Literally throwing this game away
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 That was high school JV-level stupidity out of Duffey there. Was Garver talking Swahili to him as Gurriel was coming to the plate?
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Well half the game was good- later
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Uh, what just happened? It’s becoming one of those “Hard to keep up!” innings...
twins_89 Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Twins bullpen vs Astros bullpen is about as lopsided a competition as it gets.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 This Ryan Pressly guy is pretty good. I wish the Twins could get a reliever like him on their team somehow. All they have to do is trade two of their low-A minor leaguers...
bighat Verified Member Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Tomorrow's a new day. Maybe we can steal a day game we have no business winning?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Angel Hernández has supper plans. Don’t try to argue with that.
