Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Nice to see Marwin hitting the ball hard the last few nights. He's been one of the few Twins not hitting the ball hard.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 And on the third base Crom restedNot sure what you mean but it seems Biblical.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Odorizzi is a good, solid SP who is really quite fine as a 5th SP. Unfortunately, he's our 4th SP. I would love to see, this year at least, what his ERA is for the first 4-5 IP because it's probably really good! And he's a good SO guy who frustrates hitters with high stuff. But can we ever get more than 5 IP?! Do we dare start the 6th with him?
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Rocco rolls the dice.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Can we please move the mic away from the idiot screaming after every pitch?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 That single should have been enough to get out of the dugout and get a new pitcher to worry about.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 4 soft pitches up in the zone. or even too high for the zone... talk about a hanging curve.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Earlier in the game Dick said every team is complaining about their relief pitching, but in fact the Twins relief pitchers rank 13th in the AL in WHIP.
wabene Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I reckon he's got about eight left
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 He gets a lot of strikes and SO high in the zone. It's when he just suddenly loses control is where he loses it.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Let him finish, one less out for the bomb squad to get

Here's Odo's for this season so far:https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.fcgi?id=odorija01&year=2019&t=p Scroll down to "By Inning", and maybe linger on some of the other delights on your way there. Four first inning runs in 3 games. Scoreless seconds and thirds, in 2 games. A run in two fourths. Three runs in two fifths. His page for 2018, with greater sample size of course, demonstrates a 3-inning pitcher to my eye.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Time for Mejia to be the pitcher he is and DEAL!
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 And on the third base Crom restedHe ran himself ragged last night. Let the man get his rest.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Throwing Mejia in sure is ballsy.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Do we dare start the 6th with him? I was thinking we daren't. But we got away with it, and he lowered his ERA by about a run tonight.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 The excitement when the 9.39 relief comes in.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Throwing Mejia in sure is ballsy. Closer to doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results.
wabene Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Throwing Mejia in sure is ballsy. Love is the answer
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 at least he gets to start with a 1.95 hitter....
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I'll gladly take that inning after the screaming leadoff single.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Like the decision to go to Mejia. Telez is HORRIBLE against lefty, and these are these situations he will be pitching in most nights. Get him his confidence back.
