Game Thread - Cleveland @ Twins, 3/30, 1:10pm

Who is this Parker guy? He should change his name to Disaster!

[LaBombo]

At this point it doesn't even matter exactly where T.C. Bear is; if the answer is 'somewhere inside the stadium' then there's at least a chance that Parker will hit him/her.

Leaving in Parker here - with the way the Twins are hitting plus the undermanned 'pen I guess you have to?

Undermanned? They have seven guys out there.

[bighat]

Twins gonna get 1-hit in the second game of the year? I know that hitters are behind pitchers, but to be honest this is not OK.

The left field bleachers are not safe either, I’m going to guess...

[Danchat]

I like having Blake Parker in the bullpen, but not as a guy who should be out there in a tie game in the 9th inning. The FO hasn't given Baldelli much to work with in the 'pen...

[operation mindcrime]

Great now Parker's rubbed off on Kepler!

Another option: 'Parkour', in deference to the gymnastics that Twins catchers are apparently going to be performing while chasing down those WP's.

[bighat]

Bux!

[yarnivek1972]

Have to bunt here.

[operation mindcrime]

Bwaaaaahahahahaha!

If nothing else, I like him as an option in relief the half-inning after the opposition plunks one of our guys. How you gonna get all huffy about Parkour hitting your guy when even NSA satellites don't know where his next pitch is headed?

[ashbury]

I see Buxton dancing off of second base with nobody out. Another ringing double, I presume?

[bighat]

Why is Austin not pinch-hitting for Kep here? Cave moves to right. Rocco?

[twins_89]

Parker with a pretty awful debut for the Twins. I really think Minnesota is a competent reliever (or two) from having a bullpen capable of reliably winning close games.

Popped it up into the wind, misjudged by everyone and fell in.

[yarnivek1972]

If Buxton is not at third after this PA, that is not good.

Even your autocorrect recognizes this new reality!

[jorgenswest]

Astudillo puts the ball in play. We need him here.

[notoriousgod71]

This has all the drama of a late March game!

[bighat]

Can anyone else hear the fairly cranky old dude yelling? Sounds like he's in the broadcast booth.

[LaBombo]

Perez's block on that wild pitch deserves a co-Save if Mr. Hand gets one.

That should have been a bunting situation.

All. The. Way.

Methinks they think very highly of Kepler. 7 PAs isn't going to change that.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Will pitch around Cruz to pitch to Eddie

Kepler should have bunted?

[bighat]

You'd imagine they'd give an IBB to Cruz here and pitch to Rosie?

[ScrapTheNickname]

Prediction: Kepler won't be batting lead off in a week.

[yarnivek1972]

Kepler should have bunted?

Absolutely.

[twins_89]

If Kepler could have put the ball in play (a bunt maybe?) Buxton would likely have been on third and scored on Polanco's fly out. Letting Kepler swing away was a mistake.
