Winston Smith Verified Member Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 2019 hope is they get to play a lot of games against some really really bad teams in Royals, Tigers and Sox.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 29, 2018 Author Posted September 29, 2018 Ha! The Sox announcers said of Astudillo: ‘If Sandoval is the Panda, this guy is the Koala.’
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 The penultimate game thread... Writen by the ultimate pen. One of those phat 4 colour jobs. But alas, i had to type it into computer. So you are losing all the different colours, not to mention the big illuminated letters at the beginning of each paragraph. So sadly this comes out flat on the internet. What other subtleties am i missing by not watching the game live? White SoxCarlos Rodon (L) 1. Yoan Moncada (S) 2B2. Yolmer Sanchez (S) 3B3. Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Astudillo again?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Doh. I must not of refreshed... Coulda sworn i just checked if a thread existed... alas. feel free to destroy this thread with extreme predjudice. Should wake up completely before postinf things online...
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Tired: "Meh. Astudillo's glove won't play at catcher..." Wired: " W00t!! Studzilla's bat is too valuable to waste at catcher!"
Oldgoat_MN Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Astudillo currently has a .903 OPS.Wow. Makes me laugh and smile.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Did we win yet? Chicago with no timeouts left, backup quarterback in to mop up. Minnesota just needs to take a few snaps in victory formation.

Winston Smith Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 This is BP. Don't the Whities have any other pitchers they want to audition? The way they've played this series they really want the number 3 pick and not taking any chances on winning a game and picking 4th.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Author Posted September 30, 2018 Excellent philosophy for driving as well.In Chicago merging is like trying to dodge getting hit a la bumper cars.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Sox pitchers have thrown 93 pitches to get 6 outs. I feel sorry for the home plate umpire who will likely have to crouch down close to 400 times tonight.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Did we win yet? This is baseball. I can't answer the same way I did in the 8th inning last night or it would jinx us.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Dicknbert talking about game(s) taking place on Monday. Could be one, could be two, could be three. The Pirates and Marlins have a makeup game scheduled in Pittsburgh. For some reason that I'm not sure of.BTW, I'll air one of my pet peeves I read and hear all over. In MLB, the term playoff is reserved for the regular season game(s) needed beyond game 162 in order to determine which team(s) advance(s) in which capacity. The postseason, not the playoffs, is the term for the games played by the ten teams playing for the World Championship.

Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Bert referring to something called the "balance point". I'm not familiar with the concept. Has he ever discussed that on a broadcast before?
wabene Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Congratulations on the solid year Mr Gibson! Gibby has been fun to watch all year.Such a change from the old nibbling ways. Very consistent

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 #9 Penn State leads #4 Ohio State at halftime, 13-7. Prompting the question: Why does Penn State still have an athletic program, again?
