Blake Verified Member Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 *Make of my selection what you will. Today is home project day at Che Blake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ts9UONUMlCg *Tim "The Tool Man" for your home improvement tips. Make of this selection what you will. Swear, there's a theme in some where. So far, we have storms, destruction and improvement. Whatever could be the point of this exercise? *Yep, you guessed it, "Make of this what you will." Some observations from last night: 1. Never mind, that particular trip down memory lane is a bit too painful.2. Good on the Twins for taking the lead.3. Someone needs to go all Tonya Harding on Perez. Just kidding, great player, darn it.4. Berrios went 6 and only gave up two.5. Bad on the Twins for giving up the lead. Play Ball! Pitching: Twins: Chase De Jong Royals: Ian Kennedy
Blake Verified Member Posted September 15, 2018 Author Posted September 15, 2018 I'll try to get the lineups up in time. If not, hopefully, someone will pick up the slack. Thanks in advance!

Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Believe it or not, this meaningless mid-September Twins-Royals tilt is on national television! Fox Sports 1.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 And with their win this afternoon, Cleveland has clinched the AL Central and the Twins have officially, and mathematically, been eliminated from postseason contention.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 If they win the rest of the games they finish 82-80 so there is that.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 And with their win this afternoon, Cleveland has clinched the AL Central and the Twins have officially, and mathematically, been eliminated from postseason contention.Or to paraphrase the coroner in the Wizard of Oz, "As Coroner I must aver, I thoroughly examined them and they're not only merely dead, they're really most sincerely dead."

tbhysgb Provisional Member Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 I havn't seen Molitor that heated in god knows how long.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Well, if you wanted emotion from Molitor, there's some. Plus just some more embarrassing baseball from this club, which unfortunately isn't surprising at this point.
Blake Verified Member Posted September 16, 2018 Author Posted September 16, 2018 Cleveland really put the hurt on the Tigers. 15-0. Wow.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 that one might pale in camparison to this one by the time it’s over. bring on the yankees!
tarheeltwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 The Royals are playing smarter baseball than the Twins...going back to the first inning where both teams led off with doubles. Mauer was stranded because Forsythe and Rosario did not move him over vs. Merifield, who was moved along by the second and third hitters, both of who grounded out to the right side, thereby scoring Merifield. I guess Forsythe just read my post. Thank you very much.
tarheeltwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Believe it or not, this meaningless mid-September Twins-Royals tilt is on national television! Fox Sports 1.Maybe this has made the Twins nervous, resulting in embarrassing plays by the Twins.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Royals and ChiSox have had decent second halves this year with young teams. Without some big changes the Twins will be lucky to beat out the Tigers for fourth next year.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Routine double play ball yo third, no Twin bothers to cover second. Only one out recorded, pronging inning. Gordon two RBI double follows. I can’t stand watching a Molitor managed team any more. Send him home with a pink slip in the morning, and start the process of finding a manager tomorrow. A manager gets the level of play he allows.
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 The Twins are about to drop to 8-10 against the Royals in 2019. The Royals are about to improve to 52-96 overall. In other words, the Royals are sh*t, and they are most certainly worse right now than they were on March 28. Interesting to note, however:-vs KC at Target Field: 7-2-vs KC at Kauffman Stadium: 1-8 Same rosters. Same game. Same rules. Your guesses are as good as mine. The true reality: I should probably pay attention to my STAT homework instead of trying to figure out why the Twins can't beat the Omaha Storm Chasers (did I say that out loud?)
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 I can’t stand watching a Molitor managed team any more. You didn't have to, after the 4th inning tonight!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Astudillo forgets how many outs there are, to top off the night. What an embarrassing organization.
Blake Verified Member Posted September 16, 2018 Author Posted September 16, 2018 Astudillo forgets how many outs there are, to top off the night. What an embarrassing organization.Late in a lost season and Molitor gets tossed? Really? So, yeah, embarrassing organization.
