So glad you started this because I am so frustrated I cannot wait until the morning summary.  I do feel sorry for the person writing it.  

But really what do we expect - did you look at the line up?  Why are we playing Field.  What do we expect from him now and in the future?  Move on.

 

Then there is Belisle!  Why don't we have him as the opener and remove the suspense immediately.  I am glad he is recovered and we used one of our September positions for him to continue his 2018 audition.  

 

Behind 9 - 1 and we pinch hit for Astudillo who has a Home Run and scored the only run we have.  Did Mauer need to audition for something too?  Is he trying to set another Twin record with pinch hits?  Then we have Gimenez pinch hit for Mauer.  My god.  Who is directing this circus.  Is Molitor in emergency care?  Have Falvey and Levine taken an autumn tour of the country, are the multiple coaches and assistants all off tonight?

Didn't watch a single minute of this one, but seen enough the past few weeks to agree with you 99.9% -- saving that last .01 percent because I'm an optimist.

Taking a look at the position players on the current roster, I was thinking who would I want starting next year if you were picking a team that could even contend for a playoff spot. I came up with one sure player - Rosario. One of Kepler/Cave could be a platoon option. Garver a backup catcher/1B/DH. Polanco I would consider shifting to 2B. Sano you have to play but who knows if he ever gets out of this funk - ditto for Buxton. Many more question marks than answers.

Getting the wild card spot last year was the worst thing that could have happened for the future of this organization.

 

It caused the powers that be to overlook some glaring deficiencies and instead focus on a 6 week stretch in 2017 when the team looked virtually unbeatable.

 

So, instead of doing a rebuild the right way, the FO tried to add a few fringe veterans in hopes that added to what was believed to be a strong core this team would be a strong contender.
