yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 If no one starts a game thread, do the Twins bats make a sound when they hit the ball? Odorizzi with a typical 20 pitch first inning. Two true outcomes.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Author Posted September 6, 2018 The ump isn’t giving the rookie much strikezone. Didn’t call low strike or inside edge, per gameday.
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 I think the Twins will inexplicably win this game. I'll check back in a couple hours to see if I was right.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Author Posted September 6, 2018 I like the irony of playing a guy who’s best chance at a MLB career is as a multi-position player at DH.
rileyroy Provisional Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Kepler must be the best .226 hitter in baseball. Whenever I watch he seems to get a hit, but his average never goes up. Are tariffs imposed on German born hitters? Math doesn’t seem to work.
rileyroy Provisional Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Twins off to a good LOB pace after two
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 As long as Grossman and Field get their reps all is well.
rileyroy Provisional Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Astudillo probably a better DH than pitcher, looking at his stats.

rileyroy Provisional Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 That was my impression of the King’s Speech.

David HK Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 I wonder what the over/under is in September when we can start looking up at the White Sox? I'm guessing.... the 21st. We can start a pool- everybody put in a can of Hamm's, and the winner gets it all! Ooooo, might be warm by then, but, oh, well...
big dog Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Well, it's nice to get a chance to look at all these kids. Wait, never mind. Agreed about Kepler. There are a lot of weak batting averages on this team, but who would have predicted Adrianza would have 20 points on Kepler? I count 4 guys in the starting lineup that I look forward to seeing next year. Unfortunately I think there are a lot more that I should plan on seeing.

They could get the #5 pick if the White Sox and Tigers somehow get hot or suck less than the Twins. The Twins are currently 7.5 "behind" both teams. http://www.espn.com/mlb/standings/_/group/overall
David HK Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Wish we had us a Bregman.Heh... we did! His name is Escobar...

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Breaking news: The Fort Myers Miracle won tonight! Onto the next round!
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Author Posted September 6, 2018 Odorizzi is only at like 67 pitches. But he’s gone through the order twice. Lift him? I say let him go. The damage is likely done. The bats are sleeping.
rileyroy Provisional Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Heh... we did! His name is Escobar...We do—his name is Astudillo!!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 I think the Twins will inexplicably win this game. At this point, unless the opponent is the O's, the Jays, or a non-Cleveland AL Central team, any win by this Twins team is inexplicable.
wavedog Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 This time of year is rough when you are out of it. I always want the team to win but there is little hope - then you feel guilty hoping they lose except for the fact that most of the guys in this lineup won’t be starting on the team next year. So then maybe it’s ok to lose. We have Polanco, Kepler and Garver sharing the catcher position with Castro.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Some guy went 5-5 tonight too. I think his name was Alexei Kovalev? There was also a nice assist by some kid named Jaeger or whatever, something with a J and an R, anyway.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Golly- I had to glance at the 40-man to see if there isn't someone, anyone, that could have been called up instead of Mr. Field. Literally, no one. But- heck, we couldn't call up Vargas for a farewell tour, and he could DH while Robbie hacks around in the pasture til Eddie R comes back? Or does MoY need to have at least one BWilson automatic out in the lineup? Well, there is One guy, but......
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Author Posted September 6, 2018 Am I reading gameday correctly? Have their been THREE mound visits this inning?
wavedog Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Field can’t throw or hit or he throws like he hits.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 How can a ML outfielder miss home plate by 20 plus feet?
