All this outrage for Buxton not being called up is absurd.  What are they going to do?  File a grievance?  WHat a joke.

[Fargoguy]

Why does Giminez pitch? He is terrible. Wasn't Austudillo better?

No. He wasn’t.

[Platoon]

Years ago in a Little League game, we needed to complete one more inning before dark, or else make a 45 mile round trip the next night to finish the inning. We simply bunted back to the pitcher to finally get the three outs needed. I highly recommend that idea in this game!

[yarnivek1972]

Watch Gimenez get tossed arguing balls and strikes.

[Doomtints]

The Bull**** game didn't seem to work out well.

In fact, this is embarrassing ... as bad as the 2003 Tigers.

Just a bit outside.

No ****, what has Buxton done to deserve being called up? He has been garbage every time he's been up here save for six weeks last year.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Looks like the league is finally figuring Gimenez out...

I hope he can make adjustments.

Now lets vulture a win for him!

[S.]

I don't know why people are assuming this lineup has anything to do with Buxton not getting called up. Molitor has proven time and time again that he is awful at constructing a lineup regardless of what players the FO provides him.

Lol I know right? Wish the remaining players cared more about not embarrassing themselves rather than who is or isn’t on the roster. This team is visual cancer.

[yarnivek1972]

OMFG!

[notoriousgod71]

Dick pumped about Gimenez homering as a pitcher.

Totally agree. Players and coaching staff have every right to disagree with the decision, but allowing it to impact their performance on the field is unprofessional at best.

Another who gives a s*** moment in a long lost season for a hapless club

[mrmpls]

Awesome!!

[big dog]

One headline is Buxton shut down. The other headline should be Twins Organization shuts down.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Oh well.

Thanks for the company!

[yarnivek1972]

In retrospect, maybe contraction was the right path.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Totally agree!  I have lost all respect for this organization.  The Buxton chaos just cemented it for me.

Yeah, true, but are you going to the fair?

Welcome to the game thread!

[USAFChief]

We lost in Dallas 18-4. At least the defense provided a couple of safeties.

Speaking of which, I got two pieces of bad news at my last checkup. My doctor told me I have Alzheimer’s and cancer. But at least I don’t have cancer.

No game thread is complete without a cancer joke!

Not so much a joke as an apt description of the ol ball club

[jimmer]

No game thread is complete without a cancer joke!

nothing funny about cancer.

[twinssporto]

Yeah, true, but are you going to the fair?

Didn't make it this year.  Maybe next year.  I sound like a Twins season...
