Game Thread (8/20): Twins vs. White Sox, 6:10 pm CT

Buxton would have had that fly ball by Garcia.

(So did Kepler, and only barely crashed into the fence, even.)

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

I have yet to see a better first baseman handling Sano's throws than Joe. If Joe doesn't get signed back, Sano becomes that much worse.

Buxton has to be called up soon. He’s got a Sheboygan sausage promo to fulfill (according to the radio broadcast) in early September Edited August 21, 2018 by Aggies7

Great point

[ashbury]

I’ve found that women are prettier (when I’m) on grass.

Went to an Italian restaurant with Mrs Ash the other night.

They had a sign out front, "We Support Legalized Marinara".

But Buxton wouldn’t have done that silly hop-half-jump.

Kepler will never shed that ballerina training he had growing up

[Aggies7]

Kepler will never shed that ballerina training he had growing up

That reminds me, did you hear that his parents were ballet dancers?

[ashbury]

Yeah, he did a fine job he’s still out there right? It was all that daggum bogus HBP!

...and bleeder through the infield... and induced popup three guys still are working on corraling.

Hardly a great start. But there's a lot more gray area in this performance than the Gameday readout shows.

I'm not convinced that you aren't Chief...

[Aggies7]

Bert seems drunk tonight.

[wsnydes]

Bert seems drunk tonight.

I'm okay with that. I've been pretty entertained by him tonight.

[ashbury]

I'm not convinced that you aren't Chief...

At least I remembered to edit the part about going out to dinner with Mrs Chief. That would have been awkward to explain away.

Copy/paste can lead to all sorts of trouble.

Yeah, but who would you have to do the 'splainin to? Mrs Ash or Mr Chief?

[ashbury]

Certain questions answer themselves.

In unison now: "Yes"

I’d be careful what you admit to, as I hear things can’t be erased from the Interwebs.

I just invented a new word. Plagiarism!

In unison now: "Yes"

Chief! It is you.

[wsnydes]

It's amazing how this team can't get out of its own way sometimes.

[Don Walcott]

We may find out what Busenitz’s pitch limit is tonight. 35? 40?

Keep going . . . .

[Danchat]

Not a bad outing for Busenitz, as he finally got some swings and misses. Unfortunately the defense is giving out free runs today.

[ashbury]

Chief! It is you.

We are all Chief by now.

[ashbury]

Why is it we make Lucas Giolito look like Cy Young every time?

[Don Walcott]

Is it me being biased or does it seem like Miguel gets the short end of a lot of balls and strikes calls?

[ChrisKnutson]

I like that Booze is getting his shot, but Molitor’s usage of him is just straight up abusive.

[glunn]

The fact that the Twins have only one hit against Giolito is troubling.

[twinsbaby]

Why our offense struggle against Giolito this year? He looks like a Cy pitcher against us. So sad.

Seems like the second time this month Kepler barely missed a HR.
