yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Rogers for the 8th. Just pitch around Castellanos.
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Twins could use a little looper to left please perfect spot for St. Joeso....about that....
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Joe’s RISP BA makes my head spin
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I didn't know Joe Mauer could still hit a baseball that hard.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Moya. Interesting. Well, the Twins do need to see if he can handle higher leverage situations. And his change up should help neutralize Castellanos.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Nice play by the big man. He doesn't make that play 2 months ago
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Nice play by the big man. He doesn't make that play 2 months agoI disagree. That was a hard shot, but it was very close to him. His side to side RANGE is his problem on defense. On balls hit really close to him he makes the play most of the time.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 And that is how we do that.
luckylager Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 They seem to having a lot more fun lately.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Am I going to regret liking moya?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I didn't know Joe Mauer could still hit a baseball that hard. Late bid for a trade to the Yankees? Maybe somebody explained to him that he would still get a ring even if he only played there for a few weeks, he wouldn't be required to move his family to the Bronx, and he could still end up playing here next year.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Ok. Magill. Intriguing to say the least.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Magill to close it out...interesting.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Anyone else see Eddie look at that ball from Martinez after he picked it up? What a clown
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Anyone else see Eddie look at that ball from Martinez after he picked it up? What a clownyup, thought nothing of it. Victor was getting two and definitely wasn't going to 3B.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 yup, thought nothing of it. Victor was getting two and definitely wasn't going to 3B.Haha no, I know it had no affect on the play. It was just silly
tvagle Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I'm just gonna say...MaGill is Matty B 2.0
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Magill is pitching “backwards”. Typically, to most hitters you throw fastballs in on the hands and throw breaking balls away.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Always Be Closing, Matt. Coffee is for closers.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Magill to close it out...interesting. Reward for the low walk rate, maybe? They could use relief pitchers in alphabetical order at this point for all I care, as long as nobody pitches too many innings.
tvagle Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I would much rather watch Curtiss or Buzer cut their teeth in the 9th than MaGill
tvagle Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Ronny-Rod looks to have lowered his Craig Counsel arms
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Matt is not a good name for a twins closer. CappsBelisle Magill Anyone else?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Most of the pitches he’s missing the zone he’s missing by a lot. Command needs substantial improvement.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 10 straight fastballs. Maybe something else Bobby?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Always Be Closing, Matt. Coffee is for closers. I fear Magill will be having a beer in a year from now, telling a stranger "I used to be a closer...It's a tough racket".
