mickeymental Verified Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 i assume gibson is available to pinch hit?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 bringing in the righty to face a switch hitter and a lefty. that was odd.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 We need a bunch of runs so we don't have to see Rodney!
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 This isn't helping my confirmation bias of every Twin pitcher blowing a lead/tie game immediately after securing it.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 FFS I turn the game on after we tie it and now I’m shutting if off. Just a miserable bunch this team is
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I can't wait to see Dozier gone.Me too!
mickeymental Verified Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 remember that seventh inning when the twins scored a run and tied the brewers? that was awesome!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I am under the impression Stars and Stripes Forever was included in circus books, but never played in the normal course of the circus. It got pulled played when disaster struck so that everyone knew something was dreadfully wrong, a real emergency. Not sure this has anything to do with the Twins...
jun Verified Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 This is Berrios' at bat. Called strike, called strike, swinging strike. Kepler's strikeout looking when RISP. None of them are trying. This is how this team has been performing all season. I think the whole team has already given up.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Is mollie gonna be on the flight back?
drock2190 Verified Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Currently watching the statue of Liberty climber. A bit more exciting then this.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Seven innings and 3 runs? I will take that from Berrios every game.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Is mollie gonna be on the flight back?He should have to ride back on a Moped like in Dumb and Dumber!
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 That was a productive road trip. At least Polanco is back.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 This just in: the Twins are NOT who we thought they were. sigh.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 He should have to ride back on a Moped like in Dumb and Dumber!I'd prefer him going in the wrong direction like before he got the moped though.
jun Verified Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Mauer, Polanco, Rosario, Escobar, Astudillo, Garver, Cave, Kepler, Grossman. That's the lineup. I don't want to see Dozier, Morrison and Wilson there.
jun Verified Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Don't pick on Escobar anymore. I think he is slowly working out of a slump. It's time to bench Dozier and let Astudillo start every game.
OldTimeTwinkie Provisional Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 since Sano and Buxton were sent out they have played 20 games and are 6-14. The previous 20 games they were 9-11. Twins weren't great with them but they are terrible without them. Front office bailed on this team by sending them both out. they did it last year with Kinsler and got away with it but not this year. I believe this front office has a mess on their hands that they created. it looks like not only have they lost the fans but the clubhouse.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Et tu, jokin? You’re ‘strudelizing’ Astudillo’s name now, too?Since ge was introduced on Twins Daily as "Astudillo", I'm honoring his "Strudelity"...

I also think the core of this team is still good and they can rebound with 90+ wins in 2019.

Sano and Buxton (ignoring that he was injured to begin with) will determine how good this team will be in the future. They certainly did this year. They needed to be sent down to get right. Kintzler wasn't in the long term plans anyway. I don't completely disagree that they've lost the clubhouse or the fans, but these aren't the reasons why.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 Vargas hit his 11th HR this evening; Gonsalves is in the 6th inning and gas given up 3 hits and runs. Too bad Carter can't get going.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 I found 58 comments. It would appear TD has also given up on the season.
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
