Game Thread: Twins vs Indians, 6/1 @ 7:10 PM CT

[LaBombo]

Taylor Swift is giving a concert tonight at Soldier Field and the Chicago Sky have a game at Wintrust Arena. Lots of people out there tonight. And my street is lined with limos.

My street is lined with intoxicated high school graduates. I propose a trade.

[Squirrel]

Limos lining your street is not normal?

You’d think, but no. After all, I’m just one person, so my street would only be lined with one limo on normal days.

[Squirrel]

So you're saying that the issue is a lack of binoculars.

No, I’m saying damn my ethics.

[USAFChief]

Lol ... I can see a baseball game on the TV in a condo across the street. I can’t see who’s playing without binoculars, though.

[Squirrel]

CMON!!!! Get this sucka!

[USAFChief]

Buxton catches that.

//obligatory.

[LaBombo]

C'mon, all the cool kids are doing it...

[Nine of twelve]

OK boys, time to generate a cushion.

[LaBombo]

Buxton [signs an autograph as he] catches that.

//obligatory.

Corrected for missing embellishment.

Why would any of them have binoculars?

[USAFChief]

Buxton signs an autograph while catching that.

After recovering from collision with wall.

[USAFChief]

Well, it's a thin cushion, but a cushion none the less.

[Nine of twelve]

OK boys, time to generate a cushion.

Yeah! Like that!

Done and done.

I ran into Escobar in an elevator once. He has a cute family.

Serious question:

How does someone who pays closer attention to stats explain Kepler’s ridiculously low .268 career babip?

Over 1200 PA, no one is that unlucky.

They have signs in our building, "No Running in the Elevators"

The Duetschmark is way down against the dollar.

Speaking of Mrs Chief, I was talking with a young couple at work today, and they asked me how the two of us had managed to stay married so long.

I told them "We go out to a nice restaurant once per week, and have a great meal with no stress, just time to relax. She usually goes on Fridays. I go on Saturdays."

[Nine of twelve]

Getting close to FRE time!

[Danchat]

I once thought Escobar's 21 HRs was a fluke. I don't think that anymore.

just a guess, but teams employ a pretty extreme shift against him, and as dick often references, he still pulls everything.

[Nine of twelve]

Sano looking like he used to play SS.

[jimmer]

Nice play by Sano!

[Platoon]

Sometimes I wonder if MLB pitchers pay attention to who they are pitching to. I never understood nibbling the corners for RG. He isn't going to hit enough to hurt you, and walking guys who stand there looking for one always drove me bat bleep crazy.

But teams are shifting on every player who pulls everything, no? That's why they shift.

[OTPS300]

Nice play by Sano!

Love his arm.
