Sano was not in the top 5 players who I would want to make that catch.

He was exactly number 5 for me, if you mean of those who had a realistic chance to catch it. (Garver was #6)

Damn you Twins! (Sorry Brian). I should be going to bed but you keep sucking me back in! (Loose Godfather 3 reference).

Can't we just score a couple of runs in the top of the 8th so I can go to bed with dreams of past winning years of Hrbek dancing around the diamond with a tutu?

Garver is just... not good behind the plate.

When I coached little league we had a Dodgers' pitcher come teach all of the coaches about how to teach kids how to pitch. He asked for volunteers to catch him and my hand went up first.

Later he told me that he was throwing "only" about 80 MPH. To me it seemed a lot faster. Catching is not easy.

MLB Network talking about how Hanley Ramirez would fit in with the Twins.  I wouldn't mind it.

If the concussion like symptoms that Mauer is having look like they might keep him out for an extended stretch I could see Ramirez as being a good option (on a minimum contract, not claimed off waivers).

Not the nicest thing to say but Robbie Grossman is almost worthless to this team. He really provides nothing of value other then just being an extra body.

Normally, the flags are red enough to pass but the Twins do need to consider the possibility as Right Hander insurance in case Sano and Buxton don't snap out of it.

I agree with the signing of Hanley if Mauer is in fact out for a while. He is a RHB that would be worth it on the league min. Crazy to see how the mighty have fallen. I remember back around 2008 my dad said the only player he would pick up the phone for on a Joe Mauer trade is Hanley.

Why not PH LoMo for Robbie here?

I was gonna say. "To save him for Buxton" but now I can see the hole in my theory with Buxton at the plate.

It's the hardest job on the field.

But Garver is still pretty bad at it.

Me 2 but it is much easier to say from a California Zip Code.  :)

There are only two bad things about SC:

1.  traffic.

2. RB lives too far away,
