Game Thread: Twins @ Cardinals, 5/8/18 - 12:15PM CT

[wsnydes]

That would make sense. Give Rogers the 8th, and Hughes the 9th.

I'd rather win this game, thank you very much!

[Blake]

Wow, I just noticed the Cards have only managed 2 hits.

In fact, so far, the Cards have more errors than hits.

[Mill1634]

Gotta head to ball practice now. I'll let you guys handle the end of the game on this one.

Go Twins.

See y'all Thursday.

[Blake]

Of course, the problem of more errors than hits will probably be rectified by having Hughes pitch the ninth.

[BoofBonser]

My favorite stat of this game: Only 3 strikeouts by Twins hitters against one of the best pitchers in the NL

[TFRazor]

That's 15 straight Cardinals hitters set down ladies and germs

[Blake]

I am really looking forward to the return of Sano, Buxton and Polanco.

Santana? Eh.

Thanks for the warning.

Absolutely.  Can't let that WHIP get too low.

[TFRazor]

So, about that split.....

Don't need no stinking split

Need some more insurance runs for Hughes.

[wsnydes]

Provus' scorecard must be a mess.  He's had issues with the Martinezes all day!

[Puckett34]

Twins undefeated in the Lo-Mo lead-off era!!!

[Squirrel]

Just clicking in ... what's happened so far?

Edit: Puckett34 just gave me the answer.

[TFRazor]

Shockingly clean inning from Phil Hughes. Side note, we just retired 18 straight

[Squirrel]

Winnah, winnah, chicken lunch.

[VATwinsFan]

Nothing to it.

I like the part where the Cards only hit .107

[USAFChief]

Still looking for game thread vol's for May 13th and 23rd.

Let's get this month wrapped up!

PM Chief and Carole, while this winning streak is still in it's infancy. Give it another week and you might lose your chance as people flock to the Twins in droves.

[TFRazor]

Linner?

Dunch

Oh darn, I was wrong.

Good job, Twins!
