I wonder how the game would have been different had erv had a scoreless first? Not trying to pile on him, just an honest question

 

Maybe even if he had gotten out of the first with a lead and fewer than 25 pitches.

 

But along with the whole Yankee Mystique thing, they're just really good at taking pitches, getting on base, and bashing the bejesus out of the baseball.

Probably a good decision since he actually had a chance to cut down the lead runner and Sanchez would not have reached second had Rosario not air mailed it

Rosario's decision to throw the ball the 3B was smart.  He was close and Judge would have been out with a decent throw.

Under no circumstances can you bring back any of this coaching staff. No difference between tonight and any of our previous playoff series against the Yankees. Molitor was scared to death being in Yankee Stadium. Hopefully the stat-heads running the org. see this and move on.

idk, Rowson seems to have earned his keep with the in season improvement of Polanco, Rosario and Buxton.

The decision was fine IMO. The throw was terrible.

I completely disagree that a good throw would've got Judge. He was running on the pitch. It would've had to be a perfect throw

 

Maybe, but it looked to me like the ball was already nearing its final resting place between home plate and the dugout when Judge and his steamer trunk debarked at third.

I'm not a big fan of Molitor but firing (allowing contract to expire) him makes no sense, the Twins just finished one of the best comeback seasons of all time. The young guys got better and the team made the playoffs even though the FO sold a couple assets. This one game does not make or break Molly's job.

I think many wanted Paul gone before this game for a myriad of reasons they thought were good reasons.  I think he's done a good job and should be brought back.

Let me get this straight. The Yankees pull their starter after 1 out, use nothing but dominant bullpen arms, are set up for their usual 8-9 elite arms...and still have a reliever that is better than any of the Twins' relievers...that they aren't even going to use?
