Jham Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Anyone else kinda excited to see Perkins pitch? The White Sox?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Well, I'm old enough to remember the WS wins but also old enough to be suffering from some short term memory loss. So I'm in a good spot with this team.I often wonder how I'd feel in the years after witnessing a championship. Would I care less? And for how long?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Anyone else kinda excited to see Perkins pitch?Garcia is.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 My source confirms that the report is in fact unconfirmed.Okay, hate doing this, but I checked Twitter. The only one saying anything is Gleeman, who is awaiting confirmation, but it 'appears' Buck 'tweaked something' in his last at bat.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I don't give in to peer pressureI'm not peer pressure but Chi-pressure.
Jham Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Then you are old enough to volunteer to do a game thread ...I was actually going to say, I plan on hosting a game thread one day and recounting my somewhat by chance '91 World Series experience.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 WS wins??Won't they be missing you at the home about now?

The only one saying anything is Gleeman, who is awaiting confirmation, but it 'appears' Buck 'tweaked something' in his last at bat. EDIT: Some other guy on Twitter (who I haven't heard of) suggested that he looked like his hand was in pain on a foul ball. And that maybe he jammed himself on his earlier hit. Apparently he's hurt though. Just hope it's nothing serious and he was taken out as a precaution in a game with a double-digit lead.
amjgt Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Are you not watching the broadcast? They just said he was hurt and hope to have an update after the game. That's not what I heard. They were hoping to hear an update on IF he was hurt
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I don't think Perkins is in any kind of shape to help the Twins down the stretch. Shocking, I know.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Are you not watching the broadcast? They just said he was hurt and hope to have an update after the game. No, I'm out of market and my only option is the Sox broadcast who said Buck getting a few innings off ... but what do they know. Gleeman is saying it appears he tweaked something, but awaiting confirmation.

TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Anyone else kinda excited to see Perkins pitch? Thankfully, he has a large margin of error.
Jham Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Some other guy on Twitter (who I haven't heard of) suggested he fouled a ball off himself. Maybe hurt himself that way? Apparently he's hurt though. 70charger Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Souhan article recounting Buxton's reckless playing style limiting his potential in 10... 9... 8... #pilingon Sure, maybe. But can we talk about his playing weight?
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I often wonder how I'd feel in the years after witnessing a championship. Would I care less? And for how long? From someone who is a fan of a professional sports team who has won back-to-back championships, you don't lose that hunger. If anything, it makes you want to win another one as soon as possible.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I've heard nothing on this yet ... is that for sure?Gleeman thinks he tweaked something his last ab. Nothing official.

That's why I was questioning. Thanks.
