I mean considering how he started, most. Most of those came in the first 2 innings

Do you suppose the game thread at White Sox Daily is filled with bitter comments about the Sox inability to hit with bases loaded?

Gosh I sure hope so.

And their inability to hit a lousy pitcher with a 6+ ERA.

And Nick Punto.

Impressive for hildy

I'm developing a man crush on Hildy.

One thing I really like is his command.  He puts the ball where he wants it a high percentage of the time.  He seems to also have a real sense of what pitch to throw when.  "Looking fast? I throw slow.  Looking Slow?  Here's a FB on the inside corner at the knees."

Some of which were of the seeing-eye variety.

It was hardly a perfectly pitched game. And the Sox aren't very good this year; maybe some of the swinging strikes against the curve would have been let go by another team.

Still, bases loaded with no one out, and Gibby didn't rattle. I'm not one of those who think his problems are mental. My complaint against him is one and only: major league stuff not matched by major league command.

If not, it should be. Although judging by the stands, no one really gives a flip

Yes, come to US Cellular. Watch a lousy team. Maybe get shot as you leave.

There's a marketing campaign.

Oh my, I wonder if Pelfrey will get a fine for that language being loud and clear over the television.

They haven't finished higher than 20th in attendance since 2010. This isn't a new thing.

Pelfrey was displeased with walking Escobar.

I see I wasn't the only one who noticed.

For allowing 8 baserunners to the same lineup which got two off Dillon Gee yesterday? Color me unimpressed. Slegers mowing through the D-Backs lineup last week. That was impressive.

Wow. That's not even seeing the glass half empty. It's throwing the glass at the wall.

Pretty much not. Even the media in town here forgot the Sox won the WS in 2005 when they proclaimed last year when the Cubs went to the WS how the city of Chicago hadn't seen a WS in over 100 yrs.

Really? People get shot leaving Guaranteed Rate Field?

The Sox being a lousy team in a lousy neighborhood isn't a new thing either.

Yep, tough to get it up when the crosstown rival wins the WS and you're last in the league

Come for the blowouts. Stay for the flying lead. I should trademark that.

They SHOULD be shot for entering Guaranteed Rate Field.

I have to say, I like this Sanchez guy for the White Sucks. The glasses are amazing and he's diving into first base down 4-1 in the bottom of the ninth for a team that doesn't have any reason to play that hard. Like a guy who competes that hard.

Don't disgaree, but I've honestly seen bigger AAA crowds, and this is august. Not a cold windy day in April. The sox are a sneaky attendance loser. TB and Oakland the all the press.

To be fair, he didn't dive, he fell.

I heard they stopped fireworks because too many people mistook them for gunshots and started shooting.

This is something my grandpa would say ;)

I hate to burst your bubble, but that wasn't a dive into first base. He tripped over the base and hit the dirt as a result.

But I will say this, not considering the product on the field, between the two stadiums, I'd much rather go to Guaranteed Rate Field than Wrigley for every reason imaginable. Safety, transportation to/from, accessibility, comfort, food ... Guaranteed isn't a great ballpark, but Wrigley is a downright dump.

Yeah, but he looked good doing it. Arms up, legs up, chest down. I give it a solid 9.2.
