Yes, I believe he'd be claimed easy. Yes. There are teams much worse than the Twins in terms of SS/2B needs, or even utility player needs.

A far inferior player, Danny Santana, didn't even get to go through waivers and instead was traded [for basically nothing]. Polanco would probably get traded for something a little bit more valuable than DanSan commanded. So they definitely shouldn't DFA him.
