My goodness, what was that young man thinking with that pitch?

dunno, but let's take up a collection to pay his fine.

Polanco should be DFA'd, Berrios is overrated, and Sano can't deliver with runners on. How this team is beating the mighty Yankees 6 zip in the 3rd inning is beyond me... ;-)

You want to DFA someone who just turned 24?

Of course, why not? Again, give me a name who has negative WAR two consecutive years under 24 then become a first-division player in the future.

Get to the game a little late and I end up missing a bunch of action.  It's my fault for going to lunch.

Well, it's only his second season, and his WAR is only -0.1, so a little hot stretch will get him out of negative territory.  Last year he was also -0.1, despite a wRC+ of 101.  He's not an awful player, and to pretend he can't possibly get better is ludicrous.

Another Start at 1B for Sano and that makes 7

3 More and he's 1B Eligible on my Fantasy Team

Aren't there way more viable 1B eligible guys than 3B?

He could pinch hit for Zach Granite and probably do better. Granite's swing is abysmal right now. That guy should not be here, he belongs in AAA. Molitor is playing Granite to much.

You do realize that this isn't football, and the players on offense also have to play on defense, right?

It would be amusing to see Colon in CF (if I weren't a Twins fan).

Ludicurous? Cameron Maybin had huge physical upside and loud tools in his young career. At 24, Maybin produced 4.3 WAR and Padres just thought what you said. But you knew, he never got better. In MLB history, there were many players like Maybin.

Yes, -0.1 vs 0.1 or -0.1 vs 0.5, getting better WAR. But if Twins want to win champ, Polanco need to become 3~4 WAR player, that's huge jump and no one had done that in MLB history.

how sure are you of that last sentence? That no one in history has become a 3-4 win player after this type of start? I'm asking, because I have no idea.

edit: you can find A LOT of players that had much more negative WAR in year 1 that became elite....
