Blake Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 If we're serious about making a post-season run, then maybe it is timeBut you wouldn't want to ruin chemistry out there eitherGrossman could be the odd man out, but would other teams recognize his value?Yeah, I have to go with Grossman being the odd man out. It's really unfortunate because he's really done a good job with the bat and he's definitely a serviceable fielder.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 No one is going to confuse Vargas for Doug Mientkiewicz, but he is adequate defensively. As long as he hits. Which he has not for the last month or so.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 We'll always have that second inning. And wth is wrong with duffey
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 He's done well so far, all right. But I know we don't need 5 outfielders. (This counts Grossman as an outfielder.) Rosario has the highest BA on the team. Grossman has the highest OBP on the team. Buxton's defense and improving offense. Kepler's overall value. Is it time to trade one of them away? It's always a consideration especially when you can acquire pitching with it. However, regardless... I have never been nor will ever be a starting lineup guy. Give me 25 guys who can play and have a manager who can figure it out so nobody collects dust on the bench. With the DH position and Kepler having the ability to play 1B as well. Keeping Granite will give you 7 guys who can produce for 5 positions. Rotate the players around with playing time augmented for the hot hands and you can make it work. The question is who do you pull off the 25 man to make room when Mauer comes back. That would be the guy that Molitor doesn't play. Adrianaza.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Based on that play maybe Rosario should be the one to trade.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Ok time to leave again! Much of this is on paul M
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Duffy needs a break. Big time. Curious decision to have him be first up. Why not Pressly?
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Duffey needs some time off in the worst way.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Based on that play maybe Rosario should be the one to trade. He's been making horrendous, rookie type mistakes all year

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 IS THERE NOBODY ELSE YOU CAN PUT IN, PAUL.

BoofBonser Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Remember: next 2 series after the break are @ Houston and vs. Yankees

jun Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Duffey is way overrated. Molitor just keeps sending him in close game which he obviously cannot handle right now. Well what do we know? They still keep Pressly and Belisle on the roster

Puckett34 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Remember: next 2 series after the break are @ Houston and vs. Yankees @ Houston, Yankees and @ Dodgers 3 out of the first 4 series out of the break. I'd be satisfied with winning at or around half of those games.

I agree... however... there are some players who... well... you can see it and when that happens I don't feel like waiting for the metrics to roll in. Normally... I ask for patience with a prospect because they look silly in the first AB's. Right now... I'm seeing patience and asking for the prospect.

You have his name in the lineup etched in stone. I'm just kidding, I just wanted to use a rock related line
