Mejia looks like he has lost some weight since they called him up. Like fifteen or twenty pounds. I remember last season he looked about 250 or 260. Now he looks somewhere around 230. Not much extra gut left. Good for the young man.

I chewed enough for both of us. Our family dentist retired early with my college money, I tended bar nights in order to pay my tuition and my mom threw out my baseball cards. Another of life's success stories.

You can see why guys like Hawkins and Guardado like Mejia's stuff. It's got the potential to miss a lot of bats with the tilt of his slider and that little left-hand fade of his change up. Mejia put down three guys in a hurry just then.
