Based on how well he was throwing I thought this would be the first time this season Gibson would finish 6 innings. It really seems like Gibson can never be just a little bit bad in an inning, once things start to go bad it just snowballs.

When Gibson starts getting tired, best to yank him a guy early. They just yanked him a guy late.

What he said.

Also Buxton is good at defense.

If you want to be heard by everyone in a stadium, cheer at the moment a future HOF player for the home team fails to reach a milestone. I'm still being hunted in Oakland, more than 25 years after cheering and then heckling Ricky Henderson for failing to tie Lou Brock's SB record when he was thrown out by Junior Ortiz in the opening series of the 1991 regular season.

From what I understand, had you done that these days in Oakland, well, you probably wouldn't be posting at TD any more. Anyway, I have to admit, that's pretty hard core. Good job!

Also, Pujols looked like he had a bit of a limp while he ran to first. Maybe a trip to the DL is in order for him...

I saw no limp last night - he is just very slow. I was told that he has back problems.

What is it going to attach to? ;)

My backpack and I will carry you and your heart around. Maybe that will cause you a little less stress. :)

This Guerra fellow seems familiar. I'm sure I've heard the name associated with another organization. No, no, don't tell me.

Plus didn't he go to school with Chief?  He is not a youngster anymore.

It was the Pirates. You're thinking of the Pirates.

Oh wait, you said not to tell you. My bad.

I was hoping the Twins could keep a big enough lead that Rosario might get his first appearance on the mound. Unfortunately, 5 runs probably isn't enough cushion for Molitor to put him out there.

Sano should have been more patient there. He should have known that they would probably not give him anything decent to hit.

Yup, that's what it's like.

You're a braver man than I am. And braver than the only two guys I know in California who ride.

True story. When I was in high school, a close friend's older brother finished a summer job after he graduated from a Minnesota college, and moved out to San Diego to live with their oldest brother and look for a job in his field. He road his motorcycle all the time in SD, but avoided LA after older brother, who also rode his bike a lot, warned against it.

Finally, after three months of riding in and around San Diego he decided in November that he was ready for LA. Went up for a day on a Friday, to just see the sights and return in the early evening for a party they were invited to. Called at dinner time, while still audibly shaken, to tell older brother that he would be home later than expected because he wanted to wait until the traffic was less nerve-wracking.

Older brother: "What time are you thinking you'll head back down here?"

Younger brother, only half jokingly: "Christmas morning".

Was that a clean inning of relief?

*checks toilet paper*

*sees it's still white*

Yep, clean inning.

The worst part was that I was with a soft-spoken friend who patiently explained to me that when the mob came for us, he and his Puckett jersey would probably incur their wrath before me and my Peter Gabriel concert t-shirt.

LA traffic can get really aggressive, which can be bad news for motorcyclists. Still, my little ackie was purely a matter of inexperience, not the inherent dangers of traffic, which was well within the San Diego area anyway. I just gotta get better at it, and I will.

BTW, I wear armor when I ride. I'm kinda dumb, but not that dumb.

Yeah you will. Just always wear the gear and keep your head on a swivel.

I'd love to see Buck get a hit here, but his stance doesn't look good.

A walk would be OK.

I regret a lot of the Twins past trades, but I do not miss Revere's noodle arm at all!

Also (insert joke here about how the Twins need several more runs to make us feel good about the bullpen closing this one out)

This would be a huge win, Gibson on the mound, Cleveland loss, two in a row, our ace(s) 1a and 1b on the mound Sat and Sunday?

Just please please please don't mess it up!
