glunn Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 I like the move to bench Buxton after that last AB... he's lost out thereI would like him to stay in for his defense. I suspect that he may be injured. Jerr 1
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 I doubt they hit for Buxton unless he's injured somehow. glunn, Blake and Jerr 3
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Santana will start the 7th. He may not finish it... Pressly and Breslow are the only guys that I'd consider using besides the new duo. I respectfully disagree with Erv coming back out. He looked tired last inning. Mill1634 1
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 I would have yanked Buxton because of that bone-headed at bat...
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Molly loves his backup middle infielders in LF. In other words, he loves giving fans heart attacks.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Mollie has had some head scratchers for sure, but I can't see him being so dense as to take out arguably his most valuable defensive asset without a good reason, up by 5 runs. glunn, Blake and Dozier's Glorious Hair 3
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 I respectfully disagree with Erv coming back out. He looked tired last inning.Nah, he just looked wet. Jerr, HitInAPinch, Riverbrian and 1 other 4

Blake Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 The Twins needed Santana to give them at least 7, Santana delivers. Players are stepping up when needed. Very cool. Dozier's Glorious Hair, glunn, HitInAPinch and 1 other 4
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Mollie wins that one Glunn.....brilliant move to leave Erv in the game. You stick with your Ace as long as possible. Dozier's Glorious Hair and wsnydes 2
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Up by 5 with the defense he provides?Absolutely. Very poor judgement in that last AB.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 I respectfully disagree with Erv coming back out. He looked tired last inning. Under normal circumstances... he wouldn't have pitched it. The Bullpen is really taxed. One more inning may not seem like much but it really helps when everybody in the pen has thrown a lot of pitches in the last 3 days. Personally... I would have told him good job and brought in one of the new guys. David HK and glunn 2

John Kelsey Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Buxton has a lacerated finger. glunn 1
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 A great outing from Santana even if it seems routine at this point and a little offense make the sting and fear of what yesterday might turn into go away pretty easily. Just finish this out without any damage. Riverbrian and glunn 2
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 I hate to say it but I just did it. I hung on to him all year but I just dropped Byron Buxton from my fantasy team. Logan Morrison was available... I have Belt but he is OF Eligible so he can replace Buxton in the OF... So I did it. I kept waiting for Buxton to rise and Morrison to regress. Morrison looked locked in this weekend. I pushed the button... it's a done deal... no looking back now. glunn 1
Jerr Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Radio says Buxton has a lacerated finger on his rt. hand. Day to day. glunn and wsnydes 2

spinowner Provisional Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Today would be a great day for lots of insurance runs. The bullpen is gassed and it would be nice to deplete the Houston bullpen so that they are gassed tomorrow. There's one! Jerr, glunn and Riverbrian 3
