Yank Mejia? Tempting, even with only 89 pitches. He can bank a win, let the pen clean up the rest. If it's like Torii says, Mejia just needs to settle down and get comfortable. He's got the build of a serious mid-ro horse.

True or false: Winning the second game of a double-header is better than winning the first

Yes.

Mejia must have learned a lot from Flyball Phil. The outfielders are getting a nice workout (So are the OF fans, for that matter).

After seeing Mejia's start today, I'd really like to see him stay in the rotation. Make Hughes the #5 guy who gets skipped on rainouts and off days.

In other words, Hughes pretty much never pitches again?

So far, on National TV, Hunter has mentioned Coors Light and Geico.

The producers must be pulling their hair out for the unpaid advertising.

I love it!

Mejia: Mid-rotation horse? Looked like it today...

first place at roughly the 1/4 mark. whoda thunk?

By the way, I put $20 on the Twins to win the Series when I was in Laughlin. Only got 40 to 1 odds. I believe it was a lot more than that earlier in the year. I also took Cleveland for $20. 7 to 1 odds.

Catching up with the broadcast well after the game was over. I giggled at Hunter a lot, but I much prefer his stuff to Bert (I've heard every aside and know otherwise he just reads out of a media guide). Bremer might retire in a hurry with a steady diet of Hunter, but I enjoyed it!

Meíja pitched pretty well, and not counting Pérez, he was excellent. I think if he can get over the hump, he'll be more than serviceable.
