mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 How the heck did we win that one?You get to keep 1st and 2nd inning runs the whole game
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Kintzler had some serious movement on his pitches tonight. If we need a closer tomorrow night, who gets the call?I think you know
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Finally ol Jerry gives us a corner
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Please get Abreu here. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeze.... Please don't let Garcia come up as the winning run.....bit of a time delay all the way to Hong Kong, I guess
twinssporto Verified Member Posted May 12, 2017 Author Posted May 12, 2017 Amazing how much better the bullpen pitches when they see guys around them getting DFA'd and sent down.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Okay, let me see if I have this correct: Pressly struck out the side. Kintzler struck out 3 of 5 batters. I've written game threads that were more believable than the way this game came out.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Wow, Kintzler really earned that one. Kudos.

I had to repost this just because I made myself laugh... <cue dream sequence music>*camera cuts to Molly, in the dugout, checking his mobile. Zoom in to see he's following the TD game thread.**cut to close up--lineup card in hand, pencil poised-- hand begins to scrawl: "W-i-l-k..."*cut back to Molly close up-- wry smile and barely perceptible chuckle*Molly (sotto voce): That oughta make their little heads explode...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 I think you know With this bullpen... It would be #39

David HK Verified Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 If I get back to the States this summer, tho, I'm taking Brandon out for a chicken dinner for that performance tonight. That was a dang good job.

The problem is that we have beaten bad teams and lost to the good teams. My friends way back when used to give me grief when they noted a similar pattern of success, and the lack of it, when I asked for girls' phone numbers. The solution was simple, really. New friends.

The beauty of Twins Daily game forums, perfectly summed up in one sentence. Where else can you find this kind of appreciation for the finely nuanced differences in giving people crap?

Where else can you find this kind of appreciation for the finely nuanced differences in giving people crap?I'd "like" this, but I'm out of "likes," and frankly this post just isn't worth going back and "unliking" another one to free up a "like."
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 And I love that someone found an image of an autographed Ron Davis picture. How did that conversation go? "Can you autograph this please, Mr. Davis? I used to love watching you crush imminent Twins victories like a deranged elephant stomping on cute puppies!"
